The Paseo de la Marina in the Port of Ibiza has reopened to vehicle traffic for the winter season, allowing residents, businesses and visitors to access the waterfront area by car following the restrictions imposed during the summer months.
The Balearic Islands Port Authority (Autoridad Portuaria de Baleares, APB) restored vehicle access on Thursday, 5 November 2026. The measure is expected to remain in force until the end of March 2027, continuing an arrangement introduced last year in coordination with Ibiza Town Council.
The reopening also restores parking along the waterfront promenade, although time limits will remain in place during daytime hours to encourage the rotation of available spaces.
Parking Available Around the Clock With a Two-Hour Limit
Under the winter arrangements, parking along the Paseo de la Marina is permitted 24 hours a day.
However, vehicles can remain parked for a maximum of two consecutive hours between 08:00 and 22:00. This restriction is intended to maintain the availability of parking spaces for residents, customers and people visiting businesses in the port area.
Outside this daytime period, the two-hour restriction does not apply.
The arrangement provides additional parking opportunities during the quieter months, when access to the waterfront is no longer subject to the seasonal summer restrictions.
Loading and Unloading Hours Remain in Place
Designated spaces for commercial loading and unloading will also remain available under the winter traffic arrangements.
The authorised hours are:
These hours have been aligned with the regulations applied elsewhere in the municipality of Ibiza to maintain consistency for local businesses and delivery operators.
Seasonal Agreement Between the Port Authority and Ibiza Town Council
The reopening continues the calendar introduced during the previous winter following requests from Ibiza Town Council.
The initiative aims to improve accessibility and parking availability for residents, shop owners and customers visiting the port area during the low season.
According to the published reports, the arrangement follows positive experiences during previous winter campaigns and forms part of the ongoing cooperation between the Balearic Islands Port Authority and the municipal council.
The objective is to support commercial activity along the waterfront while making the area more accessible during the months of lower tourist activity.
With vehicle access restored from 5 November, the Paseo de la Marina will once again accommodate regulated parking throughout the winter, before the seasonal summer restrictions return.
