A 107-metre Benetti superyacht has been photographed off Es Vedrà on the southwest coast of Ibiza.

The yacht, Mar, was featured in a recent SuperYacht Times report after being photographed in the waters around one of Ibiza’s most recognisable landmarks. The report identifies the vessel as a Benetti-built superyacht delivered in 2020.

Importantly, the sighting does not mean Mar is currently in Ibiza. According to AIS information cited by SuperYacht Times, the yacht was in Barcelona’s Marina Port Vell at the time of the report.

One of Benetti’s Largest Yachts

Mar measures 107 metres in length and has a gross tonnage of approximately 3,900 GT.

The yacht was built by Italian shipyard Benetti and delivered in 2020, with Benetti responsible for the naval architecture as well as the exterior and interior design. SuperYacht Times lists Mar at 107 metres, with a 14.4-metre beam and a 4.3-metre draft.

The vessel is among the largest yachts built by Benetti. SuperYacht Times currently ranks Mar as the shipyard's third-largest yacht by length.

Designed for 16 Guests

Mar has eight guest staterooms and can accommodate up to 16 guests, according to SuperYacht Times.

The owner's suite occupies the full 14.4-metre beam of the upper deck. Inside, the yacht features an extensive art collection and an interior palette built around cream, white and brown tones.

The yacht also has substantial outdoor areas designed for entertaining and relaxation.

A Large Beach Club and Swimming Pool

Among Mar's features is a swimming pool on the sun deck, surrounded by lounging areas and a large dining table capable of seating up to 20 people.

The yacht's beach club is particularly notable. It opens on three sides, creating a large open area that SuperYacht Times notes is more commonly associated with yachts exceeding 120 metres in length.

The beach club also incorporates a sauna, gym and several lounging areas.

A Superyacht Sighted Against Es Vedrà

The photographs of Mar off Es Vedrà provide another glimpse of the scale of superyachts visiting the waters around Ibiza.

Es Vedrà, located off the island's southwest coast, is one of Ibiza's most recognisable coastal landmarks and a frequent backdrop for photographs of yachts and boats cruising around the island.

For this particular sighting, however, the available AIS information places Mar in Barcelona rather than Ibiza at the time the report was published. The Es Vedrà photographs therefore document the yacht's presence off Ibiza but should not be used to suggest it remained in the area.
