Formentera has introduced its winter public transport timetable, reducing the regular bus network to two operating lines while adding an early-morning service on demand and extending night connections on Fridays and Saturdays.
The new timetable came into effect on Sunday, 1 November 2026, and will remain in place until 30 April 2027.
During these six months, the main daytime connection will be provided by line L2, linking La Savina with La Mola. The N6 will operate as the island's night bus service, with additional arrangements for passengers travelling early in the morning or requiring the final connection towards La Mola.
The remaining seasonal bus routes will stop operating during the winter period.
L2 Remains the Main Public Transport Connection
Line L2 will continue connecting the port of La Savina with the island's main population centres, including Sant Francesc, es Pujols, Sant Ferran, es Caló and Pilar de la Mola.
Its timetable and frequency will vary depending on the day, with separate schedules for weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
The route remains the main scheduled public transport link across Formentera during the quieter months, connecting residents and visitors with several of the island's most important settlements.
New 06:15 On-Demand Service to La Savina
One of the main additions to the winter timetable is an early-morning service operating from Monday to Friday.
The bus will depart from Pilar de la Mola at 06:15, arriving at the port of La Savina at approximately 06:55.
The service is particularly intended for residents who work or study in Ibiza and need to reach the port in time for an early ferry connection.
Unlike a regular scheduled departure, this journey requires advance booking, with reservations needing to be made at least 24 hours beforehand.
The service provides an additional public transport option for people travelling from the eastern part of Formentera towards the port before the start of the normal daytime timetable.
N6 Night Bus Now Runs on Fridays and Saturdays
Another important change is the inclusion of the N6 night service on both Friday and Saturday nights.
The service provides connections between the island's different population centres, with the following departures:
The route includes stops in the settlements along the connection, offering residents and visitors an alternative to private transport during the weekend.
Changes to the Final 22:00 L2 Departure
The final L2 journey departing La Savina at 22:00 will operate differently depending on the day of the week.
From Monday to Thursday, the continuation of this journey towards La Mola will operate on demand. Passengers wishing to travel on this section must request the service at least 24 hours in advance.
On Fridays, the 22:00 departure will complete its journey to Pilar de la Mola without requiring an advance reservation. This arrangement allows passengers to connect with the N6 service, which departs towards La Savina at 23:00 before making its return journey from the port at midnight.
These arrangements are intended to maintain connections across the island while adapting the service to lower winter demand.

The Consell Insular de Formentera recommends checking the updated timetables before travelling, particularly at weekends and on public holidays, when departure times and available services differ from those on weekdays.
The winter timetable will remain in operation until 30 April 2027, when the island's public transport network is expected to adapt again for the summer season.
