September 29, 2026 Ibiza & Formentera Events: Sant Miquel’s Big Day, Markets, Art, Music & More

Pubblicato il 29 September 2026 alle 10:48

Tuesday, September 29, 2026 brings a varied programme of things to do across Ibiza and Formentera, with traditional celebrations, art exhibitions, markets, wellness sessions, live music, outdoor activities and sunset experiences.

The biggest cultural event of the day is the main celebration of the Festes de Sant Miquel in Sant Miquel de Balansat, where traditional dance, live music and a spectacular evening correfoc form the centrepiece of the programme.

There is also plenty happening elsewhere, from the final September Night Market evening at Las Dalias and a creative afternoon at Nômade Temple to Formentera markets, exhibitions and the final September Nits de Mola concert.

Sant Miquel Celebrates Its Big Day

Tuesday, September 29 is the main day of the Festes de Sant Miquel in Sant Miquel de Balansat.

The celebrations begin at 09:00 with the traditional ringing of the church bells.

The main afternoon programme starts at 18:00 with a solemn Mass and procession at the church of Sant Miquel.

At 19:30, the Colla de Balansat performs traditional ball pagès, followed by a performance from Joana Torres with her electric violin at 20:00 and a concert by Groove Garage at 20:30.

The evening closes with a correfoc by Es Mals Esperits. Current local event listings place the fire run at around 22:30, while another published programme gives 22:45, so visitors should check the latest local information on the day.

The associated Taller Artístic Gartxi exhibition by Elena Garchitorena is also open in the municipal hall on Passeig de Balansat from 18:00 to 20:00.

The Sant Miquel celebrations are free to attend.

Ethereal and the Final Tuesday Night Market at Las Dalias

Las Dalias in San Carlos has two things happening on Tuesday evening.

Ethereal takes place at Las Dalias and Akasha from 19:00, while the same evening is also one of the three final Night Market nights of the 2026 season.

Las Dalias has confirmed that the Night Market closes for the season after September 30, with special closing nights on September 28, 29 and 30.

The September 29 market therefore offers one of the final opportunities of the season to browse the evening stalls, eat, drink and enjoy the atmosphere under the stars.

A Creative Afternoon at Nômade Temple

Nômade Temple Ibiza hosts Geeky Punks: A Sound Experience from 14:00 to 19:00.

The programme combines breathwork, meditation and sound healing with hands-on experimentation using educational synthesiser instruments.

The event is also included on the official Ibiza tourism agenda, making it a distinct cultural and creative option for Tuesday afternoon.

Art and Photography Around Ibiza

Several exhibitions continue around the island.

At Sa Nostra Sala in Ibiza Town, the exhibition featuring Carles Fabregat and Josep Vallribera continues through October 10, combining sculpture, photography, structures and writing.

At the Museu Etnogràfic d'Eivissa Can Ros in Santa Eulalia, temporary exhibitions explore aspects of traditional Ibizan life and culture.

Santa Eulalia's Sala d'Exposicions Sant Jaume 72 continues to show Amparo López's “Tiempo y luz en Eivissa” through October 3.

In Sant Joan de Labritja, Josep M. Miedes's photographic exhibition “Una mirada a Eivissa des de Barcelona” continues after opening on September 28.

In Sant Miquel itself, Elena Garchitorena's Taller Artístic Gartxi exhibition is open for its final day from 18:00 to 20:00.

Live Music and Evening Entertainment

Cala Escondida in Playa d'en Bossa hosts Cover Garden from 18:30 to 20:30, with Claudia Bardagí and Joan Carles Marí performing live.

Cubanito Ibiza has its Tuesday Salsero night from 19:00, focused on salsa and Latin music.

Cas Costas in Sant Josep hosts its weekly flamenco night from 20:00 to 22:00, with Que te quiten lo bailao performing flamenco, rumba and sevillanas.

Kumharas continues its Sunset Sessions from 17:00, while The Standard Ibiza hosts Solar Sessions from 18:00.

Outdoor and Wellness Options

Tuesday also offers a range of daytime experiences around the island.

Regular options include yoga and breakfast sessions, yoga at Hotel Riomar, a beach yoga session at Beachouse, Qigong in the forest, a guided Can Rich wine experience, coasteering, a visit to Cova de Can Marçà and day passes at selected hotels and beach clubs.

Horse as Muse in the countryside around San Rafael combines art, nature and time with horses and is operating during this period.

There is also a sunset kayak experience from Portinatx.

For visitors looking for a later afternoon excursion, the Captain Nemo sunset boat trip from San Antonio to the west coast and Es Vedrà is scheduled for September 29, with the current listing showing a 16:30 opening time and an excursion running until 20:30.

Formentera: Markets, Art and Nits de Mola

Formentera has a particularly good selection of options on September 29.

The Sant Francesc Market runs from 10:00 to 14:00, while the La Savina Market is also open from 10:00 and continues through September 30.

The Tuesday second-hand market takes place in Sant Francesc from 11:00 to 14:00.

At the Centre Antoni Tur “Gabrielet”, the 2nd Balearic Islands Collective Exhibition is open from 11:00 to 14:00 and again from 18:00 to 20:00.

Pamela Spitz's exhibition at the Sala d'Exposicions 'Ajuntament Vell' is open during the same daytime and evening hours.

At the Far de la Mola cultural and educational space, visitors can see the exhibition featuring the donation of works by Cati Verdera to the people of Formentera.

The Es Pujols Market begins at 19:00 and continues until midnight.

The evening concludes with Nits de Mola in El Pilar de la Mola at 22:00. The official Formentera tourism programme identifies the September 29 event as a concert by La Mola Jazz Cats.

September 29 Beyond the Clubbing Calendar

Tuesday's programme shows how much Ibiza and Formentera continue to offer outside the major nightlife venues.

Sant Miquel provides the day's main traditional celebration, while Las Dalias combines its closing Night Market with Ethereal. Around the islands, visitors can choose from exhibitions, markets, wellness, food, boat trips, outdoor activities and live music.

Formentera also enters its autumn programme on September 27, with events and seasonal offers continuing through October 31. The island's official autumn programme specifically highlights September 29's Nits de Mola concert alongside a wider schedule of cultural, sporting and gastronomic activities.

As September comes to an end, many of these events represent the final dates of their seasonal programmes, so checking the latest organiser information before travelling is recommended.
