Energía de Ibiza Brings Three Local Artists Together for Collective Exhibition at Club Diario de Ibiza

06 November 2026 г.

Ibiza's landscapes, natural materials and cultural identity will take centre stage in Energía de Ibiza. Tres miradas, un mismo territorio, a collective exhibition bringing together three artists with different creative approaches to the island.

Carmen Hervás, Vanesa Gimeno and Julián Molina will present their work at Club Diario de Ibiza from Friday, 6 November, until Monday, 16 November 2026. Under the theme of three perspectives and one shared territory, the exhibition explores the relationship between artistic expression, nature and the environment through painting, mixed media and sculpture.

The exhibition opens on Friday, 6 November, at 19:00, with music from DJ John Mayer and a small aperitif. Admission is free.

Carmen Hervás: Translating Ibiza's Natural Elements into Art

Carmen Hervás works with mixed artistic techniques, combining oil, acrylic, epoxy resin and graphene putty on canvas and wood.

Her creations explore the natural elements that define Ibiza, including the sea, sunlight, wind and earth, translating them into compositions characterised by texture, colour and material experimentation.

Her artistic connection with nature began during adolescence. After a period away from creative work, she returned to painting in 2020, developing an approach influenced by abstraction, expressionism and experimentation with different materials.

Epoxy resin plays a particularly important role in her work, requiring decisive gestures during the creative process because the material does not allow the same opportunities for correction as traditional painting techniques.

Hervás has previously exhibited her work at Ocean Drive Ibiza.

Julián Molina: Giving New Life to Reclaimed Wood

Born in Ibiza in 1970, Julián Molina is a sculptor whose primary material is wood.

His work frequently incorporates discarded and reclaimed pieces, which he transforms into compositions and mosaics highlighting the natural colours, contrasts and textures of the material.

Rather than concealing the original characteristics of the wood, Molina uses its variations as an essential part of the artistic process, creating pieces that reflect a close relationship between craftsmanship, nature and the island's landscape.

During summer 2026, he presented a new stage of his artistic development at Far de ses Coves Blanques in Sant Antoni, featuring larger-format sculptures.

His work has also reached Madrid through Malvin Gallery during Madrid Art Week.

Vanesa Gimeno: Exploring Memory Through Organic Materials

The third perspective in the exhibition comes from Vanesa Gimeno, an artist trained in Fine Arts whose professional experience also includes interior design, floral design and decoration.

Her creative work moves between painting, physical materials and organic elements, exploring how time leaves traces on people, memories and the environments around them.

For Energía de Ibiza, Gimeno presents a selection of works from two of her artistic series, Memoria Orgánica and Memoria Heredada.

Through these collections, she explores the relationship between nature, personal history and inherited memories, using artistic materials and organic elements to express connections between people and their surroundings.

Three Artistic Perspectives on One Island

Although the three artists work with different techniques and materials, their contributions share a common source of inspiration: Ibiza.

The exhibition brings together painting, sculpture and mixed-media compositions to explore the island beyond its familiar landscapes, examining how its natural environment and identity can be interpreted through individual artistic experiences.

From Hervás's exploration of natural elements through colour and texture to Molina's transformation of reclaimed wood and Gimeno's investigation of memory through organic materials, the exhibition offers three distinct approaches to the relationship between creativity and territory.
