The colourful and expressive work of artist Nilda Ventura arrives at the Jesús Cultural Centre this October with Agraint | Agradeciendo, a free exhibition inviting visitors to pause, reflect and explore the emotions conveyed through figurative painting.

Opening on Thursday, 15 October 2026, the exhibition brings Ventura’s artistic vision to the cultural heart of Jesús, in the municipality of Santa Eulària des Riu. Visitors can discover the exhibition until Friday, 30 October, with free admission throughout its scheduled opening hours.

Exploring Nilda Ventura’s Colourful Artistic World

Argentine artist Nilda Ventura has been based in Ibiza for years and has developed a recognisable style centred on figurative painting, with women featuring prominently throughout much of her work.

Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, Ventura often incorporates additional materials, including gold leaf and fabric arranged in collage form. These techniques add texture and depth to her compositions, while her vibrant use of colour helps communicate emotions, positive energy and happiness.

The exhibition’s title, Agradeciendo, meaning “Thanking” in Spanish, invites visitors to take a moment to look closely and engage with the artist’s creative world.

Ventura has also explored ways of bringing her artwork beyond traditional canvases, translating her designs onto items such as T-shirts and silk scarves.

An Artist with an Established Connection to Ibiza

Ventura is already familiar to Ibiza’s art community. Her previous exhibitions have included presentations at the Santa Eulària Town Hall cultural centre, Ocean Drive Hotel and Sa Residència, where she presented Valorando mis raíces.

She has also participated in group exhibitions organised by the Associació MultiArt de Ibiza (AMAE) and Expressarte in Jesús.

With Agradeciendo, Ventura returns to the Jesús Cultural Centre, offering local residents and visitors another opportunity to discover her work in an accessible cultural setting.
