Indira Paganotto has been named the World’s No. 1 Psy DJ in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs 2026 poll, becoming the first artist to receive the newly introduced genre award.

The Spanish-Italian DJ and producer was recognised during DJ Mag LIVE at [UNVRS] Ibiza on Tuesday, October 6, where the results of the 2026 Top 100 DJs poll were revealed.

Paganotto also delivered one of the biggest climbs in this year’s overall ranking, rising 10 places to No. 26.

A landmark year for psy-techno

The new award reflects the growing profile of Paganotto’s distinctive psy-techno sound.

DJ Mag describes her style as a defining part of her rise in recent years, while Beatport has introduced a dedicated category for the sound as its presence within electronic music has grown.

Paganotto has continued to develop the sound through her own productions and her ARTCORE platform, building a global audience around her high-energy approach to techno and psychedelic influences.

Arte Como Amante

Paganotto began 2026 with the release of her debut album, Arte Como Amante.

The album marked an important milestone in her development as a producer, arriving as her international profile continued to expand.

Her year has since taken her to major clubs and festivals around the world, including Awakenings, EDC Las Vegas and Tomorrowland.

A major year in Ibiza

Ibiza has remained an important part of Paganotto’s 2026 schedule.

She held a residency at Hï Ibiza, where ARTCORE presented its sound throughout the summer season.

The residency ran on Sundays from May 31 through October 4, with Paganotto joined by a wide range of artists from techno and harder electronic music.

She also took ARTCORE to [UNVRS] Ibiza for a special showcase on October 9, featuring Kobosil, I HATE MODELS, AZYR and Anna Unusyan.

ARTCORE goes global

Beyond Ibiza, Paganotto has continued expanding the ARTCORE concept internationally.

One of the year's standout moments came at Tomorrowland, where she hosted an ARTCORE stage and debuted a new “psy-metal” track on the Mainstage with live guitarist Harald Barrett of Swedish metalcore band Imminence.

She also brought ARTCORE to Starlight Festival in front of the Great Pyramids of Giza, further establishing the brand as a platform that extends beyond her individual DJ performances.

Rising through the Top 100

Paganotto’s No. 26 position represents a significant jump from her 2025 ranking.

She climbed 10 places, moving firmly into the Top 30 and becoming one of the year's biggest risers.

Her rise forms part of a broader shift visible across the 2026 poll, with house, techno and related underground genres gaining ground.

The Martinez Brothers climbed 15 places to No. 28, Michael Bibi rose 11 places to No. 37, Solomun moved up 14 places to No. 41 and Mochakk climbed 10 places to No. 46.

John Summit, Mau P and CHRIS STASSY were the joint Highest Climbers after each rising 22 places.

A new genre title

The World’s No. 1 Psy DJ award is one of several genre-specific honours featured in the 2026 Top 100 DJs results.

Charlotte de Witte retained the World’s No. 1 Techno DJ title for a seventh consecutive year, while FISHER was named World’s No. 1 House DJ for the second year running and Sara Landry received the World’s No. 1 Hard DJ title.

Paganotto’s award is particularly significant because she is the first recipient of the World’s No. 1 Psy DJ title.

Revealed at [UNVRS] Ibiza

The 2026 Top 100 DJs results were unveiled at DJ Mag LIVE at [UNVRS] Ibiza, with performances from David Guetta, Lost Frequencies, Charlotte de Witte, GORDO B2B Vintage Culture, ANYMA, ANASTAZJA and Korolova.

David Guetta was crowned the World’s No. 1 DJ for a record sixth time, while Anyma climbed seven places to No. 3 and Charlotte de Witte reached No. 6 overall.

For Indira Paganotto, the Ibiza ceremony marked a particularly important milestone.

She leaves the 2026 Top 100 DJs results as the first-ever World’s No. 1 Psy DJ and one of the poll’s biggest climbers, reaching No. 26 overall.
