Armin van Buuren and Argy Release Full F2F Set from A State of Trance at [UNVRS] Ibiza
October 03, 2026
Armin van Buuren and Argy have released the full recording of their Face-to-Face set from A State of Trance at [UNVRS] Ibiza, giving fans the chance to revisit one of the standout collaborations from Armin's 2026 Ibiza residency.
The set was recorded at [UNVRS] on Monday, 21 September 2026, as part of the A State of Trance residency celebrating 25 years of the globally recognised electronic music brand.
The performance forms part of Armin van Buuren's first official A State of Trance residency at [UNVRS], which runs across five consecutive Mondays from 7 September through 5 October. Each date features an extended five-hour Armin set, with selected guests joining him during the residency.
Armin and Argy Face to Face
The 21 September event paired Armin van Buuren with Argy for the F2F portion of the night.
Unlike a conventional back-to-back set, the Face-to-Face format places the two DJs opposite each other, with each using a separate setup. The format allows both artists to work independently while responding directly to each other's selections and transitions.
The collaboration brought together Armin's trance background with Argy's melodic techno sound.
The released recording runs for approximately 90 minutes and includes productions from both artists alongside trance and techno selections and previously unidentified tracks.
Tracks From Both Artists
During the set, Armin played his 2008 track “In and Out of Love”, while Argy featured “Voices In My Head”, his collaboration with Anyma.
The pair also played “Like a Child”, their first collaboration, released earlier in 2026.
The recording also contains several IDs, giving listeners an opportunity to identify tracks that have yet to be officially released or announced.
Part of A State of Trance's 25th Anniversary
The Ibiza residency forms part of the 25th anniversary celebrations for A State of Trance.
The radio show was launched by Armin van Buuren in 2001 and has since developed into an international electronic music platform with events and broadcasts reaching audiences around the world. Armin's official material describes the 2026 Ibiza album and residency as part of the next chapter of the brand's 25-year history.
For the Ibiza residency, Armin has combined his extended sets with a series of Face-to-Face collaborations.
The September programme included Hannah Laing on 7 September, Eli Brown on 14 September, Argy on 21 September and Funk Tribu on 28 September. The final residency date on 5 October is an Armin van Buuren solo performance.
Vinyl, Classics and New Material
The F2F performances are only one part of the concept behind Armin's 2026 residency.
Each date also incorporates a vinyl-only section, with Armin preparing material specifically for the series. The DJ has spoken about returning to the format he used extensively during the early part of his career.
The residency has also included a special vinyl-only classics set recorded earlier in the summer at the [UNVRS] Dome.
The combination of extended performances, vinyl selections and F2F collaborations has given the 2026 A State of Trance residency a different format from a conventional Ibiza weekly.
The Full Set Is Now Available
With the complete Armin van Buuren and Argy performance now released, listeners can experience the approximately 90-minute recording beyond the Ibiza club night itself.
For fans of A State of Trance, the set captures one of the key collaborations from Armin's 2026 Ibiza season, bringing together two artists from different areas of contemporary electronic music in the F2F format.
A State of Trance continues at [UNVRS] through 5 October, concluding Armin van Buuren's five-date residency on the island.

Cómo llegar a Ibiza
Ferries a Ibiza
Fiestas diurnas vs. discotecas nocturnas

FAMILIAS Y NO FIESTEROS
Mercados hippies y cultura bohemia
