Anem de Frita Returns to Ibiza on 8 November with Traditional Gastronomy, Ball Pagès and Live Music

November 06, 2026

Ibiza's traditional gastronomy and popular culture will come together on Sunday, 8 November 2026, with the return of Anem de Frita, a community celebration dedicated to one of the island's most recognisable traditional dishes.

Organised by the Associació Cultural Colla de Vila in collaboration with the Asociación de Vecinos San Pablo, the second edition of the event will take place at the San Pablo neighbourhood association's premises in Ibiza Town.

Originally postponed because of heavy rainfall, the celebration has now been rescheduled, bringing together traditional Ibizan food, ball pagès, rural games, a special artisan raffle and live music in an afternoon designed for families and visitors of all ages.

Frita de Porc Takes Centre Stage

The main attraction will be a popular communal meal featuring frita de porc, a traditional Ibizan dish prepared with pork and associated with the island's rural gastronomy.

The €12 food ticket includes a serving of frita de porc, bread and a piece of fruit. Drinks are not included and must be purchased separately.

Visitors who cannot remain at the venue for the meal will also have the option of taking their food away.

The event aims to celebrate local culinary traditions while creating an opportunity for residents and visitors to come together and enjoy Ibiza's cultural heritage outside the main tourist season.

Ball Pagès, Traditional Games and an Artisan Castanet Raffle

The programme will begin at 13:00 with an opening performance of ball pagès by Sa Colla de Vila, introducing the traditional music and dance of Ibiza.

Traditional rural games, known as jocs pagesos, will also form part of the afternoon programme, with activities organised by Sa Colla de Vila.

At 16:00, the organisers will hold a special raffle featuring several prizes. One of the highlights will be a pair of handmade castanets created by Ibiza artisan Jaume Boned Garau.

At 17:00, the celebrations will continue with an open Ballada Popular, inviting members of the public to join the traditional dancing.

Vis a Vis Brings the Celebration to a Musical Close

The afternoon will conclude with live music from Vis a Vis, a trio performing versions of national and international pop and rock songs.

Their performance is scheduled to begin at 17:30, providing the musical finale to an afternoon dedicated to Ibizan traditions, gastronomy and community life.
