Couple Spends a Free Night in Ibiza Hotel’s Glass Room with Guests Watching

6 October 2026

A Spanish content creator has shared the unusual experience of spending a free night in a completely glass-enclosed room at Paradiso Ibiza, where she and her husband found themselves on display to other hotel guests.

Laura, from the social-media account Laura y su Tribu, accepted a challenge to spend a night in the unusual room, which is located next to the hotel's reception area.

The room's transparent walls meant that guests walking through the reception area could see the couple inside.

A Room Without Much Privacy

Laura described the experience as a trade-off for a free night in Ibiza.

According to her account, she and her husband initially found the situation amusing. It soon became apparent, however, that other guests were stopping outside the room to look at them, with some even taking photographs.

She joked that they no longer knew if they were hotel guests or part of an attraction included with other people's reservations.

The unusual setting led her to describe the experience as feeling as though the couple were being kept in a kind of display case.

They Quickly Got Used to It

Despite the unusual surroundings, the couple apparently adapted surprisingly quickly.

After around ten minutes, Laura said they began behaving as normally as possible.

Her husband, Carlos, worked on his computer while Laura showered, got ready and eventually relaxed on the bed.

The couple effectively treated the transparent room as though it were a conventional hotel room, despite knowing that people passing through the reception area could see them.

Sleeping Was the Biggest Problem

The biggest difficulty came later that night.

According to Laura, the lights inside the room could not be switched off, making it difficult to create a dark environment for sleeping.

The couple tried to find eye masks but initially could not locate them.

Carlos eventually resorted to putting a T-shirt over his face in an attempt to block out the light.

Laura said both of them woke several times during the night.

The lack of darkness, combined with the unusual surroundings, made getting a good night's sleep particularly difficult.

Would They Do It Again?

Despite the strange experience, the couple's verdict was surprisingly positive.

Laura said they would repeat the experience, although she recommended following it with a stay in a more conventional room.

Her ideal recovery plan would involve a normal bedroom with walls, curtains and darkness.

The experience therefore appears to have been treated by the couple as an unusual challenge rather than a conventional hotel stay.

An Unusual Ibiza Hotel Experience

The story has attracted attention because of the novelty of spending a night in a transparent room in one of Ibiza's hotels.

Rather than describing the experience as a standard accommodation option, Laura presented it as a deliberately unusual challenge and documented her reaction throughout the stay.

Her video offers a glimpse into what it is like to spend a night in a room where privacy is dramatically reduced and everyday hotel activity takes place directly outside the glass.

For Laura and her husband, the lack of privacy and difficult night's sleep were ultimately part of the experiment.

And despite the strange circumstances, their final verdict was clear: they would do it again, although next time they might choose a room with a few more walls.
