The Fiestas de Jesús continue through September with a programme of cultural, religious, sporting and community events taking place in and around the village of Jesús.

After the main patron saint's day on September 8, the celebrations continue with activities for older residents, a shooting competition, a book presentation, traditional music, an environmental activity, a folklore festival and several sporting and family events.

The festivities are organised by the Comissió de Festes de Jesús, with the collaboration of Santa Eulària des Riu Town Hall and the Consell de Ibiza. The full programme runs until Sunday, September 27.

Thursday, September 10: Beekeeping and Dancing

The first remaining event after the main celebrations takes place on Thursday, September 10.

At 10:30am, the Centre Cultural de Jesús will host "Mel de Ca'n Marí", a talk about beekeeping aimed at older residents.

The session will be followed by a tasting of different types of honey from Ibiza, giving participants the opportunity to learn about local beekeeping while also sampling products from the island.

The activity is organised by the Department of Social Welfare and requires registration by telephone.

The day will continue at 8:00pm with dancing at the local Club de Mayores, providing a more relaxed community event for older residents.

Saturday, September 12: Sport, Literature and Local Music

Saturday, September 12 brings together three very different activities.

At 4:00pm, the Campo de Tiro will host the Fiestas de Jesús clay shooting championship.

Later, at 8:00pm, the Centre Cultural de Jesús will host the presentation of the book "Vendes i Pous, Jesús i es Puig d'en Valls".

The book was written by Josep Joan i Marí, known as Pep Xomeu, and published by Edicions Aïllades. The publication includes photographs by Ramon Mayol.

The presentation will be introduced by Margalida Roig and will include the author and publisher.

At 9:00pm, the church will host "Popejant, un tast de pop", a concert by the Cor des Pla de Jesús.

The evening therefore combines sport, local history and music within just a few hours.

Sunday, September 13: Blessing of Children

The following Sunday will focus on a religious tradition.

At 12:00pm, the church will host a mass and blessing for newborn children and recently baptised children, with the participation of Sa Colla de l'Horta.

At 8:00pm, another mass will take place at the Campo de Tiro in honour of the Mare de Déu de Jesús.

The day's programme provides a quieter continuation of the celebrations after the larger musical and cultural events earlier in the week.

Thursday, September 17: Dancing for Older Residents

The programme returns to the Club de Mayores on Thursday, September 17.

A community dancing session is scheduled for 8:00pm.

Friday, September 18: Restoring Vegetation in Sa Mota

On Friday, September 18, the fiestas take an environmental turn.

Sunday, September 20: Mare Nostrum Folklore Festival

Sunday, September 20 brings an international touch to Jesús.

At 12:45pm, the village square will host a performance by the Danzantes y Dulzaineros de Gallur from Zaragoza, alongside Sa Colla de l'Horta.

The performance forms part of the 28th Festival Folklórico de Ibiza Mare Nostrum.

The festival is organised by the Federació de Colles de Ball i Cultura Popular d'Eivissa, with sponsorship from the Consell de Ibiza and collaboration from Santa Eulària Town Hall.

The event will give the village an opportunity to showcase Ibiza's own traditional culture alongside folklore from mainland Spain.

Saturday, September 26: Mountain Biking and Youth Activities

The final weekend begins with a strong sporting and youth focus.

At 5:00pm on Saturday, September 26, the 18th BTT Fiestas de Jesús will take place at Can Lluís de sa Rota.

The mountain-bike event is organised by Es Xebel·lí and forms part of the longstanding sporting programme associated with the fiestas.

From 6:00pm until 9:30pm, the village square will then host "Joves al Carrer", a series of youth activities designed to bring younger residents together.

The combination gives the final Saturday a clear focus on outdoor activity and younger generations.

Sunday, September 27: Children's Gymkhana

The fiestas officially conclude on Sunday, September 27.

The final event begins at 10:00am at Can Lluís de sa Rota with the 11th Children's Gymkhana.
