Susanna Reid Opens Up About Her Ibiza Holiday After Viral Swimsuit Photo

Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid has spoken about her recent Ibiza holiday, saying she had a fantastic time on the island and enjoyed embracing its famous daytime party scene.
The 55-year-old television presenter visited Ibiza during her summer break from Good Morning Britain, spending time with her sons and celebrating the programme's nomination for Best Daytime Programme at the 2026 National Television Awards.
During the trip, Reid visited O Beach Ibiza, where she posed for photographs in a black swimsuit alongside members of the venue's team while encouraging viewers to vote for Good Morning Britain. The images quickly attracted attention online.
“What Are You Doing in Ibiza at 55?”
Speaking about the photographs, Reid said she had no hesitation about enjoying herself in swimwear during her Ibiza holiday.
She explained that she had a great time at O Beach and embraced the experience rather than worrying about her age.
The comments came after some social-media users criticised her choice of outfit, while many others praised her for confidently enjoying her holiday.
Reid has subsequently made it clear that she does not believe age should determine how someone enjoys a holiday or what they choose to wear.
A Long-Standing Love for Ibiza
This was far from Reid's first visit to the island.
The presenter has said she has been coming to Ibiza for more than a decade, describing it as one of her favourite places away from home.
Her latest trip also revealed a surprising family connection to the island: Reid discovered that Ibiza was the destination of her parents' first foreign holiday together in 1959.
She has spoken warmly about the island's combination of people, weather, landscapes, food and clubs, explaining why she continues to return.
From O Beach to Ibiza's Nightlife
Reid's holiday included more than daytime partying.
During her stay, she also visited Ushuaïa Ibiza, where she saw DJ Calvin Harris perform, while her time at O Beach provided a more relaxed daytime-club experience.
She has also explained that although she enjoys Ibiza's nightlife, she does not necessarily follow her sons into the island's late-night club scene. Instead, she prefers daytime events and returning earlier so she can maintain her usual morning routine.
Celebrating Good Morning Britain in Ibiza
The trip also became an opportunity to celebrate Good Morning Britain's success.
The programme was shortlisted for Best Daytime Programme at the National Television Awards, prompting Reid to bring a little GMB promotion to her Ibiza holiday.
She even made a surprise appearance on the programme via FaceTime from O Beach, where she joined the celebrations while still enjoying her time away from the studio.
Ibiza Remains a Favourite With British TV Stars
Reid's latest visit adds to the long list of British television personalities who have chosen Ibiza for their summer breaks.
Her holiday also highlights the variety of experiences available on the island — from beach and pool days to daytime clubs, restaurants and major electronic music events.
For Reid, Ibiza appears to be a destination she returns to year after year, with this summer's visit combining family time, entertainment and a little GMB celebration along the way.
