Max Dean and Luke Dean Team Up on New Ibiza-Inspired Single

September 13, 2026

Max Dean and his cousin Luke Dean have joined forces with UK rapper Nafe Smallz for a new single inspired by a night out in Ibiza.

Titled Not A Problem, the track was released on September 11 via Interscope Records, just two days before Max Dean returns to 528 Ibiza with his NEXUP party series.

The collaboration marks the first time Max Dean, Luke Dean and Nafe Smallz have shared credits on the same release.

An Ibiza Night Becomes the Inspiration

Not A Problem draws directly from the atmosphere of an Ibiza night out, focusing on the hazy feeling of waking up the following morning with only fragments of memories from the night before.

The track combines the Deans' club-focused production with vocals from Nafe Smallz, creating a crossover between contemporary house music and UK rap.

The release arrives during the final stretch of Ibiza's 2026 season, giving it a particularly strong connection to the island.

The Dean Family Connection

Max and Luke Dean are cousins as well as studio collaborators, and both have become prominent names within the newer generation of house music.

Max has developed NEXUP into both a record label and party concept, while Luke has established himself as a producer and DJ in his own right.

The pair have also performed together in Ibiza, including their earlier NEXUP appearance at 528 Ibiza this season.

Nafe Smallz Joins the Collaboration

Not A Problem is not the first time either Max or Luke has worked with Nafe Smallz.

Max Dean and the rapper previously collaborated on the 2024 track Feel Much Better.

Luke Dean recently remixed Kitty Hall's Puff Puff Pass with Nafe Smallz.

The new single is therefore the first project to bring all three artists together on the same record.

A New Track for NEXUP

The release comes just ahead of Max Dean's return to 528 Ibiza on Sunday, September 13.

The NEXUP event will run from 4pm until 11pm, with Max performing two back-to-back sets during the afternoon and evening.

He will first perform alongside his younger brother Joss Dean before returning for a second B2B with Wheats.

Jamie Fielding and Em Beswick also feature on the line-up.

From the Studio to the Dance Floor

The timing of the release means Not A Problem is expected to feature during Sunday's NEXUP event.

The new record gives Max and Luke an Ibiza-inspired collaboration to bring into a party environment closely associated with the Dean family and their NEXUP project.

For Max, the show is another step in an Ibiza season that has seen NEXUP expand its presence across the island.

NEXUP Has a Bigger Ibiza Footprint in 2026

Max Dean's relationship with Ibiza has grown substantially this year.

NEXUP held a spring event at 528 Ibiza before returning for the September showcase, while a further NEXUP takeover is scheduled at Amnesia on October 5.

The October event will see Max perform a triple B2B with Luke Dean and Locky, alongside several other back-to-back combinations across the Terrace.

The expansion reflects the growing profile of NEXUP as both a party series and a platform for emerging house artists.

A Crossover Between House and Rap

Not A Problem also highlights the increasingly blurred boundaries between dance music and UK rap.

Rather than being built solely for the club, the record uses Nafe Smallz's vocal style to give the track a crossover character while retaining the rhythmic focus of Max and Luke Dean's production.

That combination fits comfortably into the current generation of house music, where collaborations across genres have become increasingly common.

The Next Step for the Dean Family

With Not A Problem now released and NEXUP continuing to expand, the Dean family is building a growing presence across Ibiza and beyond.

Max Dean has established himself as the central figure in the project, while Luke and Joss Dean are increasingly appearing alongside him at major NEXUP events.

The new single adds another element to that family-led identity.

Max Dean Returns to 528 Ibiza

Max Dean presents NEXUP at 528 Ibiza on Sunday, September 13, from 4pm to 11pm.

The event features Max Dean B2B Joss Dean, Max Dean B2B Wheats, Jamie Fielding and Em Beswick.

Just days before the show, Max and Luke Dean have added a new record to their growing catalogue.

Not A Problem, created with Nafe Smallz and inspired by the blurry memories of an Ibiza night, is now available to stream and download.
