Fundación Almaterra Ibiza Offers Mindfulness Sessions to Help Adults Manage Everyday Stress

06 November 2026

Fundación Almaterra Ibiza is offering a programme of group mindfulness sessions designed to help adults manage everyday stress, improve emotional awareness and develop practical techniques for supporting their mental wellbeing.

The initiative provides an accessible introduction to mindfulness through guided exercises and practical activities, creating a supportive environment where participants can learn to slow down, reconnect with themselves and develop healthier ways of responding to their thoughts and emotions.

Open to adults regardless of previous experience, the programme combines individual reflection with shared group activities. Participation operates through a responsible donation model, helping the foundation maintain accessible community mental health resources in Ibiza.

Practical Mindfulness Techniques for Everyday Life

The programme follows a practical approach, introducing participants to techniques they can incorporate into their daily routines.

Sessions include breathing exercises, guided meditation, body awareness and the observation of thoughts and emotions. These practices are intended to help participants develop greater emotional regulation, mental clarity and self-awareness.

Rather than focusing exclusively on theoretical explanations, the sessions encourage participants to experience the techniques directly and explore how they can be applied to everyday situations.

Each meeting lasts approximately two hours and takes place in a group setting. No previous mindfulness experience is necessary, making the programme suitable for adults who are discovering these practices for the first time.

A Supportive Space for Emotional Wellbeing

Beyond the practical exercises, the group format provides an opportunity for participants to share an experience of learning and personal development.

The foundation aims to create a calm, safe and welcoming environment where people can explore mindfulness at their own pace.

Participation in discussions, exercises and group activities is always voluntary. Participants are free to decide how much they wish to share and engage with the different practices.

The programme is coordinated by professionals with experience in psychological and therapeutic support.

The foundation's mindfulness team includes Ana Blanco García, a health psychologist and psychotherapist with more than 20 years of experience in individual, family and community psychotherapy, and Fernando Sánchez Guscisma, a therapist whose work incorporates body awareness, emotional processes and personal development.

Fundación Almaterra's Work in Community Mental Health

Fundación Almaterra Ibiza was established with the aim of making psychological and emotional support more accessible across Ibiza and the surrounding islands.

Its work focuses on inclusive, community-based mental health initiatives, combining professional therapeutic support with prevention programmes designed to respond to different social and emotional needs.

Alongside mindfulness and stress reduction, the foundation also develops support initiatives for families of people experiencing mental health difficulties.

The organisation works with institutional partners and local supporters to help maintain its programmes and ensure that financial circumstances do not become an unnecessary barrier to accessing emotional support.

Its responsible-donation approach allows participants to contribute towards the continuation of the activities, including a minimum symbolic contribution for mindfulness session registration.

How to Participate in the Mindfulness Programme

The mindfulness group is open to adults interested in developing practical tools for managing stress and improving their emotional wellbeing.

Sessions follow a fortnightly format, with each meeting lasting two hours. Advance registration is required for every individual session, as places are limited.

The foundation requests a minimum symbolic donation of €5 to confirm registration. Additional voluntary contributions are welcome and help support the continuation of its community programmes.

Once registration is confirmed, participants receive information about the session, including its location, schedule and any preparation requirements.

The foundation has previously announced sessions at Can Tanca, within the Six Senses Farm area near Santa Gertrudis. However, the date and location of the next session should be confirmed directly with the organisers.
