Sant Joan de Labritja is celebrating Día del Turista 2026 with two evenings dedicated to Ibiza's traditional culture, bringing ball pagès, local gastronomy and folklore to Port de Sant Miquel, Portinatx and Sant Vicent de sa Cala.

The programme takes place on September 17 and 19 and is designed to bring some of the island's traditional cultural expressions closer to both residents and visitors.

Traditional Dance by the Sea

The celebrations begin on Thursday, September 17, at 7pm with two simultaneous ball pagès performances.

At Port de Sant Miquel, the Colla de Balansat will present a traditional dance performance accompanied by a tasting of traditional Ibiza sweets.

At the same time, the Arenal Gran in Portinatx will host a second performance by the Colla Labritja, also accompanied by a tasting of traditional sweets.

Both activities are free to attend.

The Main Celebration Comes to Sant Vicent

The programme continues on Saturday, September 19, at 7pm in Sant Vicent de sa Cala.

The village will host the 28th Festival Folklòric d'Eivissa Mare Nostrum, one of the island's established annual celebrations of traditional music, dance and popular culture.

The 2026 edition brings together Ibiza folklore groups with visiting groups from other parts of Spain and Europe. The festival is organised by the Federació de Colles de Ball i Cultura Popular d'Eivissa with the support of the Consell d'Eivissa.

Connecting Visitors With Ibiza's Traditions

Sant Joan's Día del Turista programme places traditional culture at the centre of the celebration rather than focusing on conventional tourism activities.

By taking the events to three coastal locations, the municipality is offering visitors the chance to experience ball pagès and local food while also creating opportunities for residents to reconnect with important elements of Ibiza's cultural heritage.
