O Beach Dubai has closed its current beachfront venue less than two years after opening, bringing the first expansion of the Ibiza-born beach club brand outside the island to an end at its current location.

The Dubai venue opened on October 24, 2024, at the Habtoor Grand Hotel in Dubai Marina. Its owners, Wayne Lineker and Tony Truman, have now confirmed that the venue has closed because of ongoing redevelopment in the surrounding area.

The closure does not necessarily mark the end of O Beach's presence in Dubai, with the owners indicating that they remain committed to the city and have left open the possibility of a future location.

Why Has O Beach Dubai Closed?

In a statement announcing the closure, the owners said that ongoing redevelopment around the current venue had affected their ability to provide the full beachfront experience associated with the O Beach concept.

They said the current location could no longer offer the experience expected by guests and confirmed that the venue had therefore closed.

The surrounding redevelopment is the reason given for the closure.

O Beach Dubai Opened in October 2024

The Dubai venue officially opened on October 24, 2024, after O Beach expanded its Ibiza concept into the United Arab Emirates.

The venue was located on the beachfront of the Habtoor Grand Hotel in Dubai Marina.

It featured a large swimming pool, VIP beds, private cabanas, beach beds, a restaurant and entertainment areas designed around the pool-party format associated with O Beach Ibiza.

The Dubai location was the brand's first venue outside Ibiza.

The First O Beach Outside Ibiza

O Beach Ibiza opened in San Antonio in 2012 and built its identity around daytime pool parties, DJs, performances and a large-scale entertainment programme.

The Dubai project was intended to bring that format to a new international market while maintaining the connection with the Ibiza brand.

The venue's opening in 2024 therefore represented an important step in the international expansion of O Beach.

No New Dubai Location Has Been Confirmed

Although the current venue has closed, O Beach has not announced that its Dubai operation is permanently finished.

Wayne Lineker and Tony Truman have indicated that they intend to maintain a presence in Dubai and have suggested that the brand could return in another location.

However, there is currently no confirmed alternative venue and no announced reopening date.

O Beach has therefore closed its current Dubai location, but the future of the brand in the city remains open.

Less Than Two Years of Operation

The timing of the closure means O Beach Dubai operated for less than two years.

The venue opened in October 2024 and closed in September 2026.

Its relatively short run follows several years of development before the Dubai project eventually opened.

The expansion had originally been planned for an earlier date and underwent changes before the Habtoor Grand location was selected.

Ibiza Remains the Home of O Beach

The closure in Dubai does not affect O Beach Ibiza, which continues to operate in San Antonio.

The Ibiza venue remains the brand's original location and continues its programme of daytime pool parties, DJs and live entertainment.

O Beach also has other Ibiza-related projects and collaborations on the island, including its involvement with Bonito Ibiza in San Antonio Bay.

What Happens Next?

For now, the future of O Beach in Dubai remains undecided.

The owners have indicated that they are exploring the possibility of returning to a new location, but no replacement site or timetable has been confirmed.

The immediate change is therefore the closure of the Habtoor Grand venue, rather than the confirmed end of O Beach's wider ambitions in Dubai.

The brand's first international venue has closed, while its owners leave the door open for a future return to the city.
