Sunday, October 11, 2026 Ibiza & Formentera Events: Pou de Forada Fiesta, Sant Rafel Fair, Festes del Pilar, Folklore, Art & More
Published on October 11, 2026 at 02:37 AM
Sunday, October 11, brings a particularly rich programme of local celebrations, traditional culture, sport, art, markets, family activities, boat trips and live music to Ibiza and Formentera.
Some of the most important events take place away from the island's nightlife venues. Sant Rafel hosts its fifth Rural and Artisan Fair, the Festa des Pou de Forada celebrates Ibiza's rural heritage, and the Festes del Pilar bring traditional food, music and children's activities to Formentera.
Ibiza Town also welcomes the XXIV Mostra Folklòrica Ciutat d'Eivissa, while Mondrian Ibiza opens Lotus Art in Motion to the public for free. Sport features prominently too, with the second stage of the Vuelta Cicloturista a Ibiza Campagnolo and the final stage of the Jornadas Náuticas Pitiusas.
Here is our guide to the most interesting things happening across Ibiza and Formentera today.
Sant Rafel's Rural and Artisan Fair
One of Sunday's main attractions is the fifth Rural and Artisan Fair in Sant Rafel, running from 10:00 to 17:30 around the festival marquee.
Organised as part of the Festes de Sant Rafel, the fair celebrates traditional crafts, local agricultural products, machinery, cooking and the island's rural way of life.
Visitors can discover local producers, seasonal products and demonstrations highlighting Ibiza's agricultural traditions. The programme also features the seventh Rapid Painting Competition at Can Portmany, from 10:00 to 13:00.
At 11:00, Vermut a 45 RPM brings music played from vinyl records to the fairground. A popular paella is scheduled for 14:30, followed by an afternoon of music from 17:30.
For anyone interested in local food, craftsmanship and rural Ibiza, this is one of the most worthwhile events of the day.
Festa des Pou de Forada: A Celebration of Traditional Ibiza
Another major event begins at 13:00 at Pou de Forada, where the folk group Brisa de Portmany organises the traditional Ballada des Pou de Forada.
The celebration brings together ball pagès, traditional games, singing, the concurs d'ucs and tir amb bassetja, alongside the popular Sa Verro Race.
The gathering reflects the historic importance of wells and water sources in rural Ibiza, where community celebrations marked the end of agricultural work and brought neighbours together through music, dance and food.
Traditional refreshments include sweet and savoury coques, bunyuelos and café caleta. A popular lunch costs €15 and includes frita de porc, bread, a drink and bunyuelos. Tickets are available through the organisers' designated local outlets and booking contact.
The event runs from 13:00 to 17:00 and offers a particularly authentic way to experience Ibiza's traditional culture.
Festes del Pilar in Formentera
The Festes del Pilar continue in El Pilar de la Mola with one of the weekend's fullest programmes of traditional celebrations.
The day starts at 09:00 with the Compak Sporting competition at Can Lluc. At 10:00, older local residents lead a workshop making bunyuelos, the traditional pastries associated with island celebrations.
The afternoon brings the La Mola Artisan Market from 16:00, inflatable attractions for children from 17:00 and a children's workshop with face painting at 18:30.
Food takes centre stage at 19:30 with grilled rolls filled with sobrasada, botifarró and sausage. The youth orchestra Ritmo de Isla performs at 20:00, followed at 21:00 by the festival proclamation by na Marranxeta and the presentation of awards, alongside a concert by La Canija. La 22 performs later at 23:00.
The programme offers a mix of traditional food, local music, family entertainment and community celebrations, making La Mola a particularly appealing destination this Sunday.
Cala de Bou and Port des Torrent: A Full Day for Families
The Festes de Cala de Bou i es Port des Torrent continue with a Sunday programme focused on families, dance and local entertainment.
The artisan market takes place from 11:00 to 14:00 at the children's park in Cala de Bou. Inflatable attractions are available during the same morning period and return from 16:00 to 19:00.
At 18:00, a participatory family dance workshop invites people of all ages to join in. Dance performances by the Are-T academy follow at 19:00, with Estudio 64 taking the stage at 20:00.
The evening concludes with a concert by Querencia, the Ibiza-based flamenco and rumba group, at 21:00.
These activities form part of the wider celebrations running from October 2 to October 20, organised with the involvement of Sant Josep Town Hall, local associations and community groups.
Santa Teresa Festivities in Es Cubells
The Festes de Santa Teresa continue in Es Cubells with an afternoon combining outdoor activity and traditional community culture.
At 18:30, an orienteering event starts near the church. Participants can choose between a family course with 10 checkpoints and a popular course with 11. Individuals, pairs and families can take part, although advance registration is required.
At 19:00, the church hosts a sung Mass accompanied by the Coral La Encina choir from Cantabria.
The festivities continue throughout October, with the main celebration of Santa Teresa scheduled for October 15.
Sunday Markets Across Ibiza and Formentera
Sunday is an excellent day to explore the islands' markets.
The Sant Joan Artisan Market opens from 10:00, bringing crafts, local products and music into the northern village. It is one of the best places to combine market browsing with a relaxed morning in the countryside.

In San Carlos, the Las Dalias Hippy Market opens from 11:00 to 18:00, with stalls selling crafts, fashion, artwork, jewellery and other independent products.
Later in the afternoon, the La Mola Artisan Market opens from 16:00 to 22:00. Sunday, October 11, is its final scheduled day of the 2026 season, making it a particularly good opportunity to visit before the market's seasonal break.
Sport: The Vuelta Cicloturista a Ibiza
Sunday is an important day for the XXIII Vuelta Cicloturista a Ibiza Campagnolo, with the second stage starting in Sant Josep de sa Talaia and finishing in Sant Antoni de Portmany.
Riders assemble at Sant Josep Town Hall Square from 08:00, with the stage scheduled to start at 08:30. The provisional route covers 100 kilometres, with a total elevation gain of approximately 1,540 metres.

The competition has linked Ibiza, Formentera and Sant Antoni over three stages, bringing together cruising boats competing in the ORC category.
The final trophy presentation is scheduled for 19:00 at Restaurante Calma in Marina Ibiza.
