Magiclown Brings Four Days of Free Magic, Circus and Comedy to Sant Josep

19 de September de 2026

Magic, circus, clowning and comedy will take over several venues across Sant Josep de sa Talaia from September 24 to 27, as Magiclown returns for a new edition aimed at audiences of all ages.

The four-day festival will feature six free performances across Can Jeroni, the square in Sant Jordi and the indoor and outdoor spaces of the Auditori Caló de s’Oli.

The programme is organised by Sant Josep Town Hall, with coordination and production by Culturactiva S. Coop. Galega.

Four days of free performances

Magiclown opens on Thursday, September 24, at 19:00 at Can Jeroni with Con mi magia y tu imaginación, performed by n’Amélie, the stage name of magician Rosana Vidal.

The participatory show combines magic, humour and visual performance.

On Friday, September 25, at 19:30, the festival moves to the square in Sant Jordi, where David Navares will present La magia de un trotamundos.

The performance follows the adventures of an unusual traveller and his mysterious suitcase, combining magic, humour and audience participation.

Saturday brings two shows to Caló de s’Oli

On Saturday, September 26, Magiclown moves to the indoor auditorium at Caló de s’Oli.

At 19:30, Máximo Óptimo will present his self-titled show, combining circus and street comedy with improvisation and audience interaction.

At 21:00, magician Edgar will perform Déjà Vu, a theatrical magic show incorporating visual poetry and exploring the boundaries between what appears possible and impossible.

Sunday closes the festival

The final day takes place on Sunday, September 27, at Caló de s’Oli.

At 19:00, Culturactiva Produccions will present Desconcerto, a theatre, comedy and live music production that takes a playful approach to classical music.

The performance features Félix Rodríguez and Fran Rei and is directed by Marcos Orsi.

At 20:00, the outdoor auditorium will host Mute by Basque company Orain-Bi.

Built around circus performance, Mute explores ideas of transformation and the ability of people and structures to adapt to changing circumstances.

Magiclown returns to Sant Josep

The festival brings different forms of performing arts to several parts of the municipality rather than concentrating the programme in a single venue.

According to Sant Josep Town Hall, Magiclown has been organised for around a decade, although the festival had a break before returning in 2023.

The municipality says the event is particularly aimed at making performing arts accessible to families and younger audiences.

All performances are free

All six performances in the 2026 programme are free to attend and open to the public.

The schedule is:

  • Thursday, September 24, 19:00: Con mi magia y tu imaginación, Can Jeroni

  • Friday, September 25, 19:30: La magia de un trotamundos, Sant Jordi

  • Saturday, September 26, 19:30: Máximo Óptimo, Auditori Caló de s’Oli

  • Saturday, September 26, 21:00: Déjà Vu, Auditori Caló de s’Oli

  • Sunday, September 27, 19:00: Desconcerto, Auditori Caló de s’Oli
