Carl Cox and Louie Vega Join Forces for Disco B2B at [UNVRS] Ibiza

September 17, 2026

Carl Cox and Louie Vega joined forces for a special disco-focused back-to-back set at [UNVRS] Ibiza on Sunday, September 13, bringing two influential figures from the house and disco worlds together for a dedicated night at the San Rafael club.

The performance formed part of Carl Cox's 2026 Sunday residency at [UNVRS], which runs from June 21 through October 4.

The September 13 event was specifically dedicated to disco, with Cox and Vega sharing the booth alongside a lineup that included DJ Tennis, Dimitri From Paris, Souldynamic, Wild Comet and Melon Bomb.

A Disco-Focused Night at [UNVRS]

The September 13 program was designed around disco and its influence on contemporary electronic music.

Cox had previously announced that he would be digging into his record collection for the occasion, highlighting several of his favorite disco records ahead of the performance.

Among the tracks he selected were Ashford & Simpson's “Don't Cost You Nothin'” from 1977 and Patrice Rushen's “Forget Me Nots,” released in 1982.

The selection reflected the musical direction of the night, moving away from a conventional house and techno-focused program toward the disco records that helped shape later dance music.

Carl Cox and Louie Vega Behind the Decks

The central performance saw Cox and Vega play back-to-back in the [UNVRS] Main Room.

The venue had announced the collaboration as a world-first pairing between the two artists, connecting Cox's long career in house and techno with Vega's extensive history in house, disco and New York's dance music culture.

The set formed the main musical focus of the September 13 program.

The Rest of the Lineup

The night also featured a number of artists connected to the disco and house spectrum.

French DJ and producer Dimitri From Paris was part of the lineup, alongside Italian DJ Tennis and Souldynamic.

Wild Comet and Melon Bomb were also scheduled to perform, adding further sets to the program.

The combination gave the night a broader musical scope while keeping disco at the center of the event.

Part of Carl Cox's 2026 Residency

The September 13 event was one of 16 dates in Carl Cox's second season at [UNVRS].

The residency began on June 21 and is scheduled to conclude on October 4, with Cox controlling the musical direction each Sunday and bringing different guests and collaborations to the Main Room.

The season has included a series of special back-to-back performances. Earlier in the summer, Cox joined David Guetta for an all-night B2B on July 26, another collaboration described by [UNVRS] as a world-first.

Other guests during the residency have included Joseph Capriati, The Martinez Brothers, Chris Stussy, Dennis Cruz and Nicole Moudaber.

The Residency Continues Into October

Following the disco night with Louie Vega, Cox's 2026 [UNVRS] residency continues through the end of September.

The September 20 lineup includes Cox alongside Loco Dice, Dennis Cruz, Mita Gami, Karretero and PAUZA.

On September 27, Cox is scheduled to perform a back-to-back set with Nicole Moudaber, joined by Alan Fitzpatrick, before the residency concludes on October 4 with a Carl Cox all-night-long closing party.

The September 13 performance therefore marked another special format within Cox's 2026 residency, with the collaboration with Louie Vega placing disco at the center of the [UNVRS] program for one night.
