GastroIbz and Ibiza Beer Fair Return This Weekend With Local Food, Wine and More Than 200 Beers

September 18, 2026

Ibiza's Recinto Ferial will become a meeting point for local food, wine, beer and live entertainment this weekend as the fourth GastroIbz. Gastro Ibiza and Formentera takes place alongside the 19th Ibiza Beer Fair.

The two events are being held on Friday, September 18 and Saturday, September 19, bringing restaurants, food producers, chefs, beer brands and local products together for two evenings of gastronomy and entertainment.

Both fairs run from 19:00 to 02:00 on each night, with admission priced at €6 and including three “birris”, the event's beer tokens.

Two Fairs in One Venue

GastroIbz. Gastro Ibiza and Formentera returns for its fourth edition, while the Ibiza Beer Fair reaches its 19th edition.

The two events share the Recinto Ferial de Ibiza, with the beer fair occupying one side of the venue and GastroIbz the other.

According to the organisers, the combined event attracts around 10,000 visitors each year and brings together gastronomy, local products, beer, music and other activities.

Local Olive Oil and Wine Take Centre Stage

One of the main themes of this year's GastroIbz is the promotion of local extra virgin olive oil and wines from Ibiza and Formentera.

The programme includes a tasting pairing local oils with wines from the islands, highlighting products protected under the IGP Aceite de Ibiza and IGP Vino de Ibiza designations.

The wines selected for the programme include references from Bodegas Can Rich and Ibizkus, while the participating local olive oils come from Can Miquel Guasch, Joan Benet and Ca na Platera in Formentera.

Five Chefs Take Part in “Cómete las islas”

One of the main events takes place on Friday evening at 20:00.

Called “Cómete las islas”, the approximately one-hour gastronomic session will be presented by Formentera-raised food creator Celeste de la Banda.

The programme brings together Catalina Riera and Nuria Riera of Ca n'Alfredo, David Reartes of Dúo and Retro, Óscar Molina of La Gaia, Daniel Figueroa of Ficus and Luciano D'Ambrosio of Trattoria del Mar and Bistró del Mar.

Each chef will present one of their signature creations, explaining its inspiration and connection with local ingredients before completing or plating the dish in front of the audience.

Five Local Creations, Two Pairings

The five culinary creations will each be paired with local olive oil and wine.

The organisers say the idea is to explore the relationship between the dishes and products from the Pitiusas, using the oils and wines to complement each creation.

The format is intended to be more conversational than a traditional cooking demonstration, combining food preparation with discussion about ingredients, producers and culinary traditions.

Ball Pagès Opens the Weekend

The programme begins on Friday at 19:00 with a performance by Sa Colla de sa Bodega.

The traditional ball pagès display will precede the evening's gastronomic and entertainment programme.

Actor David Pomar is also involved in the opening of the event, helping to introduce the activities before the evening continues with food, beer and music.

More Than 200 Beer References

The Ibiza Beer Fair returns with more than 200 national and international beer references.

The beer event has become a regular September fixture at the Recinto Ferial, running alongside the food fair and providing a separate area dedicated to beer.

The combination means visitors can move between the gastronomic stands and the beer area during the same evening.

Restaurants, Food Trucks and Local Producers

The 2026 GastroIbz programme includes restaurants, food trucks, producers and other food projects.

Among the participants listed by the organisers are Carn & Coop, Agroeivissa, Camàlic, Can Mario, Jamones Los Andaluces, Sa Trugeta, 97-12º, Grupo Ficus, La Gula, La Santería and S'Espardell.

The offer ranges from local meat and agricultural products to street food, desserts, tapas and Mediterranean-inspired dishes.

Music Across Both Nights

Music forms part of the programme throughout the two evenings.

Friday's schedule includes DJ Miguel Vera at 20:00 and DJ Sr. Cardona at 23:00.

On Saturday, DJ Toni Torres takes over at 19:00, followed by Petit y Vázquez from La Movida Ibiza at 23:00.

Saturday Brings More Food and Entertainment

The second night continues the combination of gastronomy, beer and music.

The event's format allows visitors to sample dishes from different participating businesses while exploring the beer fair and enjoying the evening entertainment.

The organisers have designed the two-day programme around local products and culinary proposals rather than a single central dining experience.

Supporting Ibiza's Local Food Culture

The organisers say one of the objectives of GastroIbz is to promote Ibiza and Formentera's primary sector, local ingredients and culinary traditions.

The event brings producers and restaurants together in the same space while giving visitors an opportunity to discover products associated with the islands.

The fair is organised by Eventos Musicales Ibiza and Imam Comunicación, with principal sponsorship from the Consell de Ibiza and Ibiza Town Hall, alongside support from the Consell de Formentera and the island's other municipalities.

When and Where

GastroIbz. Gastro Ibiza and Formentera and the 19th Ibiza Beer Fair take place at the Recinto Ferial de Ibiza on Friday, September 18 and Saturday, September 19.

Opening hours are 19:00 to 02:00 both nights.

Admission is €6 and includes three “birris”.

With local chefs, Ibiza and Formentera products, more than 200 beers, wine and olive-oil tastings, food stands and evening DJs, the combined event offers a full night of food and entertainment as Ibiza moves into the final stretch of the 2026 season.
