The Ibiza Burlesque Festival returns to the island this weekend, bringing burlesque, cabaret, music and live entertainment to San Antonio Bay on Saturday, September 19.

The Grand Gala will take place at NYX Hotel Ibiza, following a pre-festival party at Aperture Terrace on Friday, September 18. The organisers are describing the 2026 event as a milestone year marking a decade of the Ibiza Burlesque Festival.

A Weekend of Burlesque in Ibiza

The programme begins on Friday, September 18 with the festival's pre-party at Aperture Terrace.

The main celebration follows on Saturday with the Grand Gala at NYX Hotel Ibiza, an adults-only hotel overlooking San Antonio Bay.

The festival describes its format as a combination of live burlesque performances, DJs, music and a social atmosphere inspired by Ibiza's creative and beach culture.

The Grand Gala on September 19

Saturday's Grand Gala is the central event of this year's festival.

The festival has released several ticket categories, including priority seating and premium front-row options, as well as a private VIP lounge booth for groups of four to six guests.

The organisers currently list the VIP booth at £1,000, while front-row premium seating starts at £85 for lounge seating and £100 for the premium plush-chair option. Priority front-row seating is listed at £60. Availability can change as the event approaches.

International Performers

The festival continues to promote an international approach to burlesque, with performers and participants travelling to Ibiza from different countries.

One of the artists highlighted for the 2026 programme is Hibiscus Bloom, a performer from the United States making their Ibiza Festival debut. The festival describes Bloom's work as combining burlesque, storytelling, self-expression and performance art.

The festival has also been using its Education Exchange to connect emerging performers with established artists, offering opportunities to perform, learn and exchange ideas during the Ibiza event.

According to the organisers, participants in the exchange can meet artists from around 10 countries and take part in educational activities connected with the World Burlesque Academy.

A Festival That Has Grown in Ibiza

The Ibiza Burlesque Festival was conceived as an international burlesque event connected with the island's music, performance and creative culture.

The festival's current organisers describe 2026 as its 10-year anniversary year and credit the performers, volunteers, collaborators and supporters who have helped develop the event.

Historical material shows that the first Ibiza Burlesque Festival was staged at Santos Ibiza in October 2017, giving the event several years of physical and online development on the island.

The festival also continued during the pandemic years with online editions and activities, helping it maintain its international community when physical events were restricted.

From Ibiza to an International Community

The festival has increasingly developed an educational and community side alongside its live shows.

Its sister organisation, World Burlesque Academy, supports online learning and international connections within the burlesque community. The festival says its wider community now includes members from dozens of countries.

The organisers also emphasise themes including artistry, individuality, confidence and creative expression.

A Record-Breaking Moment in 2025

Last year's festival also produced an unusual piece of international attention.

In September 2025, festival founder Sapphira, the stage name of Priscilla Silcock, presented a performance project titled A Life In Art in Ibiza. The festival later announced that the project had been recognised by the Official World Record Association under the title “First Music Tribute to Australian Art, Ibiza Spain.”

The project combined burlesque performance, original music, storytelling and a tribute to Australian pop culture.

The festival says a formal medal presentation connected with the record is due to take place in 2026.

More Than a Night Out

Although the festival is built around live entertainment, its organisers present it as a cultural and educational event as well as a show.

The programme has included performer education, workshops, photography experiences and opportunities for artists to connect internationally.

For Ibiza, it adds another strand to the island's cultural calendar at a time when September is already bringing a mix of music, fashion, food, art and other events beyond the main summer season.

San Antonio Bay Hosts the Gala

NYX Hotel Ibiza will provide the setting for the main Saturday celebration.

The hotel, located in San Antonio Bay, is an adults-only property with a seafront location and views across the Mediterranean. The festival has hosted its Saturday Gala there as part of its recent event format.

The setting allows the event to combine the performance itself with Ibiza's familiar sunset and coastal atmosphere.
