Ibiza and Mallorca are in the international spotlight as Sports Illustrated Swimsuit begins producing its 2027 issue in Spain. The magazine has revealed a roster of 11 women travelling between the two Balearic Islands for the upcoming edition, bringing together established SI Swimsuit names, models and athletes making their debut.
The announcement, published on 22 October, marks Spain as the first destination revealed for the new issue. The editorial team says it will share additional content from the shoot over the coming week and a half.

The group brings together women from fashion, entertainment and professional sport. Several are returning to the magazine, while others will make their SI Swimsuit debut in the 2027 issue.
Athletes Join Established SI Swimsuit Names
Among the new faces is English professional golfer Charley Hull, who will appear in the publication for the first time. Hull has competed at the highest level of women's golf and reached a career-high position of third in the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings in February 2026.
American basketball player Azzi Fudd is also making her debut. Selected first overall in the 2026 WNBA Draft by the Dallas Wings, Fudd joins the roster following her collegiate career with the University of Connecticut.
The shoot also features returning model and DJ XANDRA, who has previously appeared in the magazine and performed at Ushuaïa Ibiza. Other familiar names include Brooks Nader, Jena Sims, Nicole Williams English and Meredith Mickelson.
Peloton instructor, author and motivational speaker Tunde Oyeneyin is returning after earning a place in the magazine through its Swim Search casting initiative. Model and content creator Gabi Moura, television personality Kamie Crawford and lifestyle creator Claire Kittle complete the group.
ME Ibiza and ZEL Mallorca Host the Team
The magazine reports that models and staff are staying at ME Ibiza, the Mediterranean-facing hotel on Ibiza, and will also spend time at ZEL Mallorca.
The two properties provide accommodation during the production, which is travelling between the islands. Sports Illustrated has not yet disclosed the exact locations of the individual photo shoots on Ibiza or specified which models will be photographed at each destination.
The magazine says its editorial team will continue publishing exclusive material from Spain through its website and social media channels during the shoot.
Ibiza's International Profile Continues to Grow
The arrival of a major international magazine production places Ibiza alongside Mallorca in a campaign connected to one of the best-known annual swimwear publications.
For the islands, productions of this kind bring international attention to their landscapes, hospitality and wider lifestyle appeal. However, the magazine's announcement does not provide details of the production's economic impact or the specific Ibiza locations being used.
Further images and behind-the-scenes content are expected to emerge as Sports Illustrated Swimsuit continues documenting the 2027 shoot.
The 2027 issue is still in production, so the announcement represents an early look at the roster rather than the release of the finished magazine. The final photographs and any additional details about the Spanish locations will be revealed as the publication develops its coverage.
