Ibiza Town Hall has opened applications for 10 work-and-training positions aimed at unemployed young people, offering an opportunity to gain practical experience and vocational skills through a six-month programme.
The initiative, known as Eivissa Impulsa II, will recruit administrative services assistants to support municipal departments. Applications must be submitted through the Balearic Islands Employment Service (SOIB) by Wednesday, 21 October 2026, with the selected candidates expected to begin work on 4 November.
The programme combines full-time employment with professional training, with the aim of improving participants’ qualifications and helping them access the labour market.
Who Can Apply for the 10 Positions?
The vacancies are aimed at unemployed people aged 16 to under 30 who meet the programme’s eligibility requirements.
Applicants must be registered with the SOIB as jobseekers and be beneficiaries of Spain’s National Youth Guarantee System. According to the published announcement, no previous academic or vocational qualification is required.
The positions will be offered through a six-month, full-time alternating training and employment contract, allowing participants to gain workplace experience while developing relevant professional skills.
Candidates who have completed a personalised employment-integration pathway during the previous 12 months and can provide a report from their employment adviser recommending their candidacy will receive priority under the selection criteria.
Once the eligibility requirements have been checked, candidates will be contacted by email to attend a selection interview.
What Will the Selected Candidates Do?
The 10 successful applicants will work as administrative services assistants, supporting the day-to-day operations of municipal departments.
Their responsibilities will include:
-
Providing administrative support with the management of files and records.
-
Answering telephone calls and assisting with public enquiries.
-
Organising, controlling and archiving documentation.
-
Supporting municipal technicians with departmental tasks.
Alongside their practical duties, participants will receive vocational training designed to strengthen their administrative skills and improve their future employment prospects.
The programme is intended to help young people gain experience in a professional environment while acquiring skills that can be applied to other administrative roles.
