Estudio Kismet, Ecodisseny and MGAG Arquitectos Win First Suministros Ibiza Architecture Awards

September 24, 2026

Estudio Kismet, Ecodisseny and MGAG Arquitectos have been named the winners of the first Suministros Ibiza Architecture and Construction Awards, recognising three projects completed in Ibiza and Formentera during the 2025-2026 edition.

The awards ceremony took place at Club Diario de Ibiza on Thursday, September 17, bringing together professionals from architecture, interior design and construction, alongside institutional representatives and members of the judging panel.

Each of the three winning studios received an award made from Ibiza stone sourced from Suministros Ibiza's own quarry and worked by its master stonemasons.

Three winning categories

The first edition featured three categories covering residential projects, interior design and hotel projects.

Estudio Kismet won the Best Residential Project category for the renovation and rehabilitation of nine homes in the Sa Penya neighbourhood of Ibiza Town.

Ecodisseny received the award for Best Space Design and Interior Design Project for Sa Mirada.

MGAG Arquitectos won the Best Hotel Project category for Bonito Ibiza.

The three teams collected their awards during the ceremony at Club Diario de Ibiza.

Estudio Kismet recognised for Sa Penya homes

The residential award went to Estudio Kismet for a project involving the renovation and rehabilitation of nine homes in Sa Penya.

The project was submitted under the residential category and was among the works considered by the jury for their design, construction and relationship with the surrounding environment.

Sa Penya is one of the historic neighbourhoods of Ibiza Town, located beside the old city walls and the port.

Ecodisseny wins with Sa Mirada

Ecodisseny received the award for Best Space Design and Interior Design Project for Sa Mirada.

The project was recognised in the category dedicated to interior design and the creation or transformation of spaces.

The organisers highlighted design creativity, integration with the surroundings, technical solutions, installation efficiency and the use of innovative materials among the criteria considered by the jury.

MGAG Arquitectos recognised for Bonito Ibiza

The hotel category was won by MGAG Arquitectos for Bonito Ibiza.

Bonito Ibiza is a hotel project on the island and was selected in the category covering hotel developments completed during the eligible period.

The award places the project alongside the two residential and interior-design winners as one of the three projects recognised in the inaugural edition.

A jury combining professional and institutional representation

The judging panel brought together representatives from the architectural, technical and public sectors.

It included Lluís Oliva i Munar, president of the College of Architects of Ibiza and Formentera; María del Mar Pacheco, president of the College of Quantity Surveyors and Technical Architects of Ibiza and Formentera; Pedro Cardona, director general of Suministros Ibiza; and Mariano Juan Colomar, first vice-president and councillor for Territory, Tourism Planning, Mobility, Road Infrastructure and the Fight Against Illegal Activities at the Consell d'Eivissa.

The judging criteria included creativity and originality of design, integration into the environment, innovative construction and technical solutions, installation efficiency and the use of innovative materials.

Projects from Ibiza and Formentera

The awards were open to projects carried out in Ibiza or Formentera and completed between October 2025 and June 2026.

The organisers created the awards to give visibility to professionals and teams working across architecture, interior design, engineering, construction and related disciplines in the Pitiüses.

The first edition therefore covers a range of professional work rather than focusing exclusively on architecture firms.

An award linked to Ibiza's construction sector

Suministros Ibiza says the awards are intended to encourage good practices and create greater visibility for projects combining design, construction, innovation and consideration for the local environment.

The company's history on the islands stretches back more than six decades, during which it has supplied materials and technical solutions to architects, engineers, interior designers, developers and construction companies.

The awards form part of that relationship with the professional sector.

Celebrating architecture and construction in the Pitiüses

The first edition highlights three different types of work: the rehabilitation of existing homes in Sa Penya, an interior design project and a hotel project.

Together, the winning projects reflect the range of architectural, design and construction work being carried out across Ibiza and Formentera.

The awards are expected to continue as a platform for recognising projects developed in the islands, with the inaugural 2025-2026 edition now complete.
