Ibiza Opens Applications for Vara de Rey Christmas Market Stalls

The Ibiza Town Hall has opened applications for businesses and artisans interested in taking part in the 2026-2027 Vara de Rey Christmas Market, with up to 31 stalls available for the upcoming festive season.
The market will return to the Paseo de Vara de Rey from November 28, 2026 to January 6, 2027, bringing together local crafts, Christmas products and gastronomy in the centre of Ibiza Town.
Applications are open until October 8, 2026.
Up to 31 stalls available
The municipal call divides the market into two categories.
Up to 21 stalls will be available for artisan and Christmas products. The Town Hall will provide and install a stall for each successful applicant in this category.
A further 10 food stalls can be allocated to gastronomic proposals. Successful applicants in this category will be responsible for providing and installing their own stall according to the conditions established by the Town Hall.
The 31 places represent the maximum number available under the current call, rather than a guaranteed final number of stalls.
Focus on local crafts and Ibiza traditions
For the artisan category, the selection process will give particular consideration to proposals connected with Ibiza's traditional crafts and culture.
The Christmas character and originality of the products will also be taken into account, alongside other criteria established in the official terms.
Applicants can include information about their products and photographs as part of the documentation submitted for consideration.
The selection will be carried out through a competitive process based on the criteria established in the municipal terms and conditions.
Gastronomy and entertainment
The food category is intended to include gastronomic proposals, with particular attention given to the promotion of Ibiza's cuisine.
Applicants for the gastronomic stalls must also submit at least three different musical proposals designed to help create an atmosphere and animate the Christmas market.
The gastronomic stalls will initially operate on weekends, public holidays and the days before public holidays.
From December 18, they will be required to open every day until the market finishes on January 6.
The artisan stalls, meanwhile, are scheduled to remain open throughout the entire market period.

Applications can be submitted in person at the Ibiza Town Hall's Registry of Entry or through the Citizen Service Office at the CETIS building.
Applications can also be submitted electronically through the Ibiza Town Hall's online administrative office.
The specific procedure is titled:
“Fiestas - Solicitud de puestos de venta en el Mercado de Navidad de Vara de Rey”
Companies and other applicants legally required to communicate with the administration electronically must complete the process online.
The application period runs for 10 working days from the day after publication of the terms in the municipal electronic office, with the final deadline set for October 8, 2026.
Vara de Rey Christmas Market 2026-2027
The Christmas Market will take place along the Paseo de Vara de Rey, also known as s'Alamera, in the centre of Ibiza Town.

The annual market forms part of Ibiza Town's wider Christmas programme and will once again bring craft products, gastronomy and festive activity to one of the city's central public spaces.
For artisans, food businesses and other eligible applicants, the current call provides an opportunity to be part of the Vara de Rey Christmas Market during the 2026-2027 festive season.
