Meraki Festival Brings Egyptian and Oriental Dance to Teatro España in Ibiza on October 18

October 15, 2026

Santa Eulària des Riu will welcome an evening of oriental dance and live music on Sunday, 18 October 2026, as Meraki Festival takes to the stage at Teatro España. The performance will bring together Ibiza-based dance groups and performers for a journey through Egyptian dance, tribal styles and oriental-inspired fantasies, accompanied by live music from Yarón Marco.

The show is scheduled to begin at 19:30 and will last approximately 75 minutes. Tickets cost €12 in advance, plus booking fees, or €15 at the door.

A Celebration of Oriental Dance and Live Music

The word meraki comes from Greek and describes doing something with soul, love and creativity. That idea provides the inspiration for a performance combining movement, music, costumes and visual expression.

The programme features three names from Ibiza’s oriental dance scene: Ibiza Tribal Clan, Grup Layali and Nur Banu. Together, they will present a variety of Egyptian, tribal and oriental dance styles, creating a theatrical experience inspired by the atmosphere of traditional oriental fantasy.

Ibiza Tribal Clan is an oriental dance group with a history of performances at events and venues across the island. Grup Layali is also a familiar presence in Ibiza’s oriental dance scene, while Nur Banu is an Ibiza-based belly dancer and choreographer who has directed and choreographed other performances in Santa Eulària.

Live music by Yarón Marco will accompany the show, adding another dimension to the combination of dance, rhythm and stage presentation.

A Cultural Evening in Santa Eulària

Meraki Festival offers a different kind of cultural outing for October, bringing dance and live music to one of Santa Eulària’s central venues.

The performance is described as suitable for all audiences, making it an option for families, couples and groups of friends looking for an evening of live entertainment.

Located on Carrer de Sant Jaume, Teatro España is in the centre of Santa Eulària, close to the town hall. The venue regularly hosts cultural events and performances alongside its cinema programme.
