Sant Antoni Local Police have arrested one person after discovering a warehouse containing 54 boxes of nitrous oxide canisters and a suitcase with approximately 18 kilos of suspected narcotic substances.

The operation took place in the municipality of Sant Antoni de Portmany and began after officers reportedly saw an individual handling the entrance gate of the premises.

Suspicious Activity Leads to Police Check

According to the police account, the patrol noticed the individual at the entrance of the warehouse and approached after observing what they considered suspicious behaviour.

The person reportedly attempted to leave while hiding several objects inside their clothing.

Officers identified the individual and found a padlock and its corresponding key, several balloons used to dispense nitrous oxide and a box containing six bottles of the gas.

54 Boxes of Nitrous Oxide Found

Following the initial findings, a second police patrol assisted with an inspection of the warehouse.

Inside, officers discovered 54 boxes containing nitrous oxide canisters.

Police said the canisters were allegedly intended for distribution and sale.

The intervention was carried out in accordance with the applicable health regulations concerning the sale of nitrous oxide through devices that allow it to be inhaled.

Suitcase Contained Approximately 18 Kilos of Suspected Drugs

While removing the boxes from the warehouse, officers also found a travel suitcase.

Inside were several bags containing different suspected narcotic substances.

The total weight was approximately 18 kilos.
