Santa Eulària des Riu is launching a new edition of its free Ocupa’t: Conecta con lo digital workshops this autumn, offering six training sessions designed to improve digital skills for everyday life and work.

The programme begins on Friday, September 25, and continues through October 30 at the Escola Municipal de Formació in Santa Eulària. Each workshop lasts 90 minutes and places are limited.

Two Levels of Digital Training

The programme is divided into basic and advanced levels.

The basic sessions run from 12:30 to 14:00 and are designed for people who are less familiar with digital tools and want to develop greater confidence using computers, mobile phones and the internet.

The advanced sessions run from 17:00 to 18:30 and focus on digital tools for official procedures, online security and professional applications of artificial intelligence.

First Workshops Start September 25

The programme opens with two sessions on Friday, September 25.

The basic-level workshop, “Primeros pasos digitales”, introduces fundamental computer and Windows skills, including everyday digital functions.

The advanced session, “Tu identidad digital: Certificado digital”, focuses on how to request and use a digital certificate for official procedures and electronic administration. The first workshops are scheduled for 12:30 and 17:00 respectively.

Internet and Email Skills

On October 2, participants can choose between two workshops focused on internet use and online security.

The basic session, “Internet útil: Buscar, enviar y comunicar”, covers practical internet and email skills for everyday tasks, including browsing, searches, messaging and email.

The advanced workshop, “Navegar seguro: evita fraudes y engaños”, focuses on identifying online scams, protecting devices and improving the security of personal information.

Artificial Intelligence for Everyday Life

Artificial intelligence is also included at both training levels.

“IA para el día a día”, on October 9, provides an introduction to artificial intelligence and its everyday applications, including the creation of digital documents.

The advanced session, “La IA como aliada profesional”, focuses on ways artificial intelligence can be applied to work and academic tasks.

Every Workshop Is Offered Twice

The six workshops are each scheduled on two separate dates, giving participants more opportunities to attend.

“Primeros pasos digitales” and “Tu identidad digital: Certificado digital” take place on September 25 and October 16.

“Internet útil: Buscar, enviar y comunicar” and “Navegar seguro: evita fraudes y engaños” take place on October 2 and October 23.

“IA para el día a día” and “La IA como aliada profesional” are scheduled for October 9 and October 30.

Training Takes Place in Santa Eulària

All six workshops are being held at the Escola Municipal de Formació in Santa Eulària des Riu.

The current official registration portal lists the first sessions at Carrer Rafael Sáinz de la Cuesta, with Carlos Javier Martínez Becerra named as the trainer for the opening workshops.

Advanced AI Workshop Has an Extra Requirement

Participants attending the advanced artificial intelligence workshop are required to bring an operational Gmail account and know the password so they can complete practical exercises during the session.

The organisers recommend using a separate account from the one normally used for personal activities during the exercises.

Digital Skills for Everyday Life and Work

The programme is designed to cover a wide range of digital needs.

At the introductory level, participants can learn how to use computers and smartphones, connect to the internet, communicate online and begin exploring artificial intelligence.

The advanced level moves into digital administration, online safety and professional uses of AI, giving participants the opportunity to develop skills that can be useful both personally and in the workplace.

Free Training With Limited Places

All six workshops are free of charge, although places are limited and registration is required.

The programme is organised by the Employment Department of Santa Eulària Town Hall through Club de Feina and the Escola Municipal de Formació.
