Awesome Soundwaves, the live electronic music label founded by Carl Cox and Christopher Coe, is heading to Akasha Ibiza for a special collaboration with Ethereal on Friday, October 16.

The night will put the focus firmly on live electronic performance, with Stimming, Sebastian Mullaert and Christopher Coe performing live together from opening to close.

A night dedicated to live electronic music

The event will bring together three artists associated with the live electronic music scene for an extended performance at Akasha.

Stimming, Sebastian Mullaert and Christopher Coe are scheduled to play live together throughout the night, creating a format that moves away from the traditional DJ-led club set and towards real-time electronic performance and improvisation.

Awesome Soundwaves was established by Carl Cox and Christopher Coe with a specific focus on electronic artists who perform their music live. The label's philosophy centres on artists being able to take their productions from the studio to the stage rather than focusing exclusively on DJ performance.

Stimming, Sebastian Mullaert and Christopher Coe

German producer Stimming has been releasing electronic music for more than a decade and has been associated with the Diynamic label. His work has increasingly incorporated detailed live production and hardware-based performance. Awesome Soundwaves lists his live album Elderberry among its releases.

Sebastian Mullaert is known for his work as a producer, live performer and member of Minilogue. He will join Stimming and Christopher Coe for the three-way live performance at Akasha.

Christopher Coe will represent Awesome Soundwaves on the night. As co-founder of the label with Carl Cox, he has played a central role in its focus on live electronic music.

Part of the Ethereal programme

The event comes as part of Ethereal's 2026 programme at Akasha.

Ethereal returned to Akasha in August and has presented a varied programme combining DJs and live electronic acts. Previous dates have featured artists including Medusa Odyssey, D-MASSO and Chelu García.

For the October 16 event, the programme will be held at Akasha itself, rather than using the Las Dalias garden. The listed start time is 23:00.

Carl Cox is not announced to perform

Despite the connection to Carl Cox, he is not part of the announced lineup for the October 16 event.

Awesome Soundwaves is his label partnership with Christopher Coe, but the confirmed performers for this Ibiza date are Stimming, Sebastian Mullaert and Christopher Coe.

There is therefore no basis to advertise the event as a Carl Cox performance unless a separate appearance is subsequently confirmed.

Live music rather than a traditional DJ set

The concept behind the evening is particularly suited to Akasha's intimate setting, with three live electronic artists performing together rather than simply presenting a conventional sequence of DJ sets.

The result is expected to combine elements of electronic production, live performance and improvisation, reflecting Awesome Soundwaves' focus on artists who can recreate and reinterpret their music in front of an audience.

The Awesome Soundwaves and Ethereal collaboration takes place at Akasha Ibiza on Friday, October 16, with the three artists scheduled to perform live together throughout the night.
