UD Ibiza suffered a 0-2 defeat to Real Zaragoza at Can Misses on Friday, September 25, with two second-half goals from Óscar Ureña deciding a closely contested match.

The result was Ibiza's first home defeat of the 2026-27 Primera Federación season after victories in their opening two matches at Can Misses.

A Goalless First Half

The first half ended without a goal, with both sides creating opportunities but neither able to break the deadlock.

UD Ibiza had the first notable attempt when Pedro Ortiz tested Zaragoza goalkeeper Sem Westerveld from outside the area.

Zaragoza gradually took more control of possession and created opportunities of their own, including a shot from Iker Vadillo that required a save from Andrés Prieto.

The home side remained organised and looked for opportunities on the counter, while Zaragoza continued to control much of the ball.

UD Ibiza were also forced into an early change when Genaro Rodríguez left the field with an injury shortly before half-time. Ismael Fadel replaced him.

Ureña Changes the Game

The match changed shortly after the restart.

Zaragoza coach Ibai Gómez introduced Óscar Ureña and Edu Espiau in the 57th minute. Their impact was immediate.

In the 58th minute, Espiau's involvement in the attacking move helped create the opening for Ureña, who collected the ball inside the area and sent a low shot beyond Andrés Prieto.

The goal was reviewed for a possible handball but was ultimately awarded.

Just four minutes later, Ureña struck again.

Espiau went through on goal and Prieto managed to block his effort, but the rebound fell to Ureña, who finished from close range to make it 0-2.

Two goals in a short period gave Zaragoza control of the match.

Ibiza Search for a Response

Raúl Llona made further changes as UD Ibiza attempted to get back into the game.

Iker Varela and Javi Eslava were introduced in the 68th minute, followed later by Georges Nsukula.

The home side did manage to put the ball in the net through Jérémy Blasco, but the goal was ruled out for offside.

Javi Eslava also came close with a header, but the effort did not produce a goal.

Zaragoza had opportunities to extend its lead late in the match, with Andrés Prieto making an important save in a one-on-one situation with Edu Espiau.

The score remained 0-2 until the final whistle.

First Home Defeat of the Season

The defeat leaves UD Ibiza with three losses from their opening five league matches, according to the current match record.

The team had previously won both of its first two home games, making Friday's result its first defeat at Can Misses this season.

Zaragoza, meanwhile, secured all three points after turning a goalless first half into a two-goal victory through Ureña's quick-fire second-half strikes.

The match will be played at the Ciudad Deportiva José Manuel Llaneza.
