Pikes Ibiza has surpassed the €1 million mark through its charitable initiative, with voluntary contributions from guests helping support organisations working across Ibiza, Formentera and, in one case, international communities.

The programme was launched in 2024 as a way of connecting Pikes' guests directly with charitable organisations. Since then, the amount raised has grown sharply, from €130,000 in 2024 to €600,000 in 2025 before the cumulative total passed €1 million during 2026.

Pikes currently describes the 2026 figure as €1 million raised and counting, meaning the cumulative total is continuing to grow during the season.

A Simple Idea That Grew Quickly

The charity initiative began in 2024 with a straightforward model.

At Pikes events, guests are invited to make a voluntary contribution to one of the participating organisations.

Representatives and volunteers from those organisations collect the money themselves at the venue rather than having donations pass through an intermediary.

Pikes says that 100% of each contribution goes directly to the organisation receiving it, with no middlemen, commissions or deductions.

The system allows guests to meet representatives of the organisations while making their contribution and learn directly about the work their money supports.

€130,000 in 2024 Became €600,000 in 2025

The growth of the initiative has been significant.

In its first year, 2024, the programme raised €130,000.

That figure increased to €600,000 in 2025.

The cumulative total then passed €1 million during 2026.

Based on the published annual figures, the initiative had already raised €730,000 during its first two years, meaning more than €270,000 has been added during 2026 to push the cumulative total beyond the million-euro mark. This is a calculation based on the figures published by Pikes.

Where the Money Is Going

The 2026 programme focuses primarily on organisations working with people and communities in Ibiza and Formentera.

The current partners include ASPANOB, AEMIF, Ibiza and Formentera Against Cancer, Proyecto Juntos and Care4Cats.

Pikes is also continuing its annual support for the Mercury Phoenix Trust, which funds HIV/AIDS education projects internationally.

The causes therefore range from childhood cancer and medical support to mental health, cancer care, children's welfare and animal protection.

ASPANOB Supports Families Facing Childhood Cancer

ASPANOB, the Association of Parents of Children with Cancer of the Balearic Islands, is one of the organisations included in the 2026 programme.

A particularly important part of its work for Ibiza families is helping when children need to travel to Mallorca for cancer treatment.

Pikes highlights that Ibiza does not have a dedicated paediatric oncology unit, meaning affected families can face the additional difficulty of travelling to another island during an already extremely difficult period.

ASPANOB supports families through practical and emotional assistance during that process.

AEMIF Supports People With Multiple Sclerosis

AEMIF, the Multiple Sclerosis Association of Ibiza and Formentera, is another current partner.

The organisation provides support for people living with multiple sclerosis and works to improve quality of life through services including therapies, workshops, group activities and individual sessions.

Pikes says previous support helped AEMIF employ a full-time physiotherapist and reduce its waiting list. That impact figure comes from the organisation's own account of the donations received.

Support for Cancer Patients and Families

Ibiza and Formentera Against Cancer, known as IFCC, is also part of the 2026 programme.

The organisation provides support for cancer patients and their families, with Pikes highlighting the importance of financial assistance in helping people access the care and services they need.

The group's representative described the support as helping provide both practical assistance and reassurance to families facing cancer.

Proyecto Juntos and Galaxia Pediátrica

Proyecto Juntos is using its partnership with Pikes to support Galaxia Pediátrica, a project focused on transforming paediatric areas at Can Misses Hospital.

The project aims to make hospital spaces more welcoming for children and improve the environment in which young patients receive care.

Pikes describes the initiative as part of its broader focus on children's development, welfare and protection.

Helping Ibiza's Street Cats

Not every cause in the programme is human-focused.

Care4Cats is supported as a specific exception within the Pikes charity strategy because of the venue's longstanding connection with cats.

The organisation works on the island's street-cat population, including sterilisation programmes designed to reduce uncontrolled breeding.

Pikes says donations from guests have helped sterilise hundreds of street cats and prevent thousands of kittens from being born homeless. Those figures are reported by Care4Cats through Pikes' charity programme.

The Mercury Phoenix Trust Takes the Programme Beyond Ibiza

The Mercury Phoenix Trust is a different type of partner.

Rather than being an Ibiza-based organisation, it supports HIV/AIDS education and awareness projects internationally.

Pikes has a longstanding connection with the trust through its Freddie Mercury celebrations and says it continues to support the organisation as one of the programme's exceptions.

According to Pikes, the trust supports educational projects for young people around the world, with individual projects capable of reaching thousands of participants.

This is why the overall initiative is better described as supporting charities and causes rather than suggesting every euro goes exclusively to local organisations.

The Community Is Part of the Fundraising

The initiative has another purpose beyond the amount of money collected.

Pikes says local charity representatives and volunteers are present at the venue so that guests can meet them and learn about their work.

That creates direct contact between charitable organisations and the international audience visiting Pikes during the summer.

For smaller local organisations that may not have the same visibility or resources as large national charities, that exposure can also be valuable.

Pikes describes this as giving local organisations a platform as well as financial support.

The Idea Came From Pikes' Relationship With Ibiza

The charity programme is closely connected to Pikes' long history on the island.

Pikes traces its origins to Tony Pike's purchase of the original finca in 1978 and its official opening as a hotel in July 1980.

Over more than four decades, the property has developed from a farmhouse hotel into one of Ibiza's best-known hospitality and music institutions.

The current charity initiative reflects an attempt by the venue to turn part of the spending and generosity associated with its busy summer season into support for organisations working in and beyond the island.

A Different Side of Pikes

Pikes is internationally associated with music, nightlife, famous guests and its distinctive atmosphere.

The charity initiative adds another dimension to that identity.

Instead of simply providing entertainment, the venue uses its events as a meeting point between guests and organisations dealing with practical issues in the local community.

The people making the donations are also part of the process, with volunteers from the organisations explaining directly what their work involves.

The structure of the programme is unusual in that the participating organisations collect the contributions themselves at the venue.

Pikes says there are no intermediary fees, commissions or deductions and that the full donation goes directly to the organisation.

The distinction is important: the million-euro figure represents money raised through the initiative from guests and other charitable contributions associated with the programme, rather than a €1 million payment made solely from Pikes' own funds.

The increase also reflects the scale of Pikes' guest base and the number of people coming through its doors during the season.

The venue's charity page says the success of the programme has also generated requests from additional organisations hoping to participate.

Pikes says it has chosen to keep the programme focused on organisations dealing with genuine need, crisis or vulnerability, with specific exceptions for Care4Cats and the Mercury Phoenix Trust.

Pikes currently lists the 2026 total as “€1,000,000 raised and counting”, meaning additional contributions are still being collected as the season continues.

An exact final 2026 total will only be known after the season and the associated fundraising have concluded.

Andy McKay’s “Social Credit” Mission

For Pikes owner and Ibiza Rocks Group founder and CEO Andy McKay, the charity programme has become part of a broader personal mission to give something back to the island.

McKay has spoken openly about questioning the relationship between his businesses and Ibiza after decades working in the island's entertainment industry. He describes the idea through what he calls “social credit”, measuring whether his companies are doing more good than harm in Ibiza.

When the fundraising passed €600,000 during 2026, McKay was careful to distinguish his role from that of the people actually providing the money. The donations come from Pikes guests, while representatives and volunteers from the participating charities collect the contributions directly at the venue. Pikes provides the platform that connects those guests with local organisations.

His involvement is also practical. McKay has personally represented Ibiza Rocks Group at charity presentations and has publicly set the ambition of increasing the programme's impact, including extending the model to 528 Ibiza.

The initiative therefore reflects two sides of the same story: the money comes from thousands of individual guests, while McKay and the Pikes team have created and expanded the mechanism that allows those donations to reach organisations working directly in Ibiza and Formentera.

From Ibiza Nights to Community Support

The milestone shows how a nightlife venue can also become a fundraising platform.

Since 2024, guests at Pikes have contributed more than €1 million through the initiative, while representatives from participating organisations have used the venue to explain their work directly to visitors.

The causes supported range from families facing childhood cancer and people living with multiple sclerosis to children's hospital projects, cancer support and animal welfare.

More Than a Million Euros Raised

Pikes Ibiza has now passed a seven-figure cumulative fundraising milestone.

The programme began with €130,000 in 2024, grew to €600,000 in 2025 and has now moved beyond €1 million in 2026.

The money has come through the generosity of guests and has been channelled through participating organisations, with Pikes providing the platform for direct fundraising.

The total will continue to rise while the 2026 season is underway, but the million-euro mark already represents a significant milestone in the venue's effort to connect Ibiza's nightlife community with charitable causes.
