Santa Eulària des Riu is opening new opportunities for residents to develop their language and digital skills, with four free training courses scheduled to begin in November and December 2026. The programme, delivered through the municipality’s Escola Municipal de Formació, includes B1 English, advanced digital skills, artificial intelligence applications and basic digital content creation.

There are 13 places available on each course. All sessions will take place in person and are subsidised by the Balearic Islands Employment Service (SOIB).

The courses are designed to help participants strengthen practical skills, improve their confidence with technology and explore tools that can be useful in professional and everyday settings.

Four Courses to Develop Practical Skills

1. B1 English with a British Council Exam

The first course begins on 3 November 2026 and runs until 10 March 2027. It provides 240 hours of training aimed at developing English language skills at B1 level.

Classes will take place from Monday to Thursday, between 16:00 and 20:00. The official British Council exam is included in the course.

Registration deadline: 30 October 2026.

2. Advanced Digital Skills

Running from 10 to 30 November 2026, this 60-hour course focuses on improving participants’ ability to use digital tools, helping them become more confident and independent when working with technology.

Classes are scheduled from Monday to Friday, between 09:00 and 13:00.

Registration deadline: 6 November 2026.

3. Applications Based on Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence is a key feature of this year’s training offer. This 50-hour course runs from 13 November to 18 December 2026 and introduces participants to different AI tools and their potential applications.

Classes will take place from Monday to Friday, between 17:00 and 19:00.

Registration deadline: 10 November 2026.

4. Basic Digital Content Creation

The final course focuses on creating digital content using text, images, video, audio and presentations. With 40 hours of training, it will run from 3 to 17 December 2026.

Classes are scheduled from Monday to Friday, between 09:00 and 13:00.

The municipal announcement does not specify a separate registration deadline for this course, so interested applicants should contact the training school directly for confirmation.

More Training Planned for 2026–2027

The four courses form part of a broader training programme being developed by Santa Eulària’s Municipal Training School for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Additional courses are expected to open for registration progressively in the coming months. Planned subjects include A1 English, advanced Excel, conflict resolution, preventive safety culture, digital marketing on Meta platforms and advanced digital content creation.

The wider programme will also place further emphasis on artificial intelligence, including practical uses of ChatGPT and other AI tools, as well as the fundamentals of generative artificial intelligence.
