A new exhibition bringing collectible design, contemporary art and sound together will open at Nômade Temple Ibiza on September 30, marking the first physical exhibition by International Design.

Titled Cosmic Sound, the ten-day exhibition will run until October 10 and is being presented by International Design in collaboration with Soleille Gallery.

The project brings together designers and artists whose work explores the relationship between sound, materials, technology, sculpture and functional design.

From online platform to physical exhibition

International Design describes itself as a curatorial platform focused on collectible design, connecting designers, artists, collectors and creative communities.

Cosmic Sound represents the platform's first move into a physical exhibition format, translating its digital catalogue and curatorial approach into an exhibition environment at Nômade Temple Ibiza.

The exhibition focuses specifically on objects associated with sound, including DJ consoles, speakers, listening systems, sound sculptures and other pieces that sit between functional design and contemporary art.

Sound becomes the central theme

The exhibition's central idea is to look at the physical objects through which music and sound are experienced.

Rather than treating speakers, DJ equipment and listening furniture simply as technical equipment, the exhibition presents them as collectible design objects whose materials, construction, proportions and visual presence form part of the experience.

The selection includes work ranging from sculptural audio systems and DJ consoles to installations and functional objects.

International line-up of designers

Cosmic Sound brings together an international group of designers, artists and creative studios.

The current exhibition information includes Olivia Steele, Sara Ricciardi, Jacob Egeberg, Jacopo Gonzato, Andrea Mancuso, YONT Studio, Emily Thurman and Francesco Maria Messina, among others.

Some works are presented in collaboration with Soleille Gallery.

The projects take different approaches to sound and design. Francesco Maria Messina, for example, presents a work that combines a lamp and speaker, while Sara Ricciardi Studio has created an installation involving metal bells activated by wind and visitors. Jacopo Gonzato's work explores sound diffusion through harmonic forms inspired by Platonic solids.

A different kind of exhibition space

Cosmic Sound will not be presented in a conventional gallery.

The works will be installed across different areas of Nômade Temple Ibiza, both indoors and outdoors, allowing the exhibition to interact with the hotel's architecture and surrounding environment.

Nômade's own programme describes Cosmic Sound as a living exhibition, with the relationship between the works, the architecture and visitors changing throughout the ten-day residency.

The programme will also include selected music moments, sound experiences, wellness activities and cultural gatherings.

Further individual events are being announced progressively.

Curated by International Design and Soleille Gallery

The exhibition is curated by Valentina Guidi Ottobri, International Design co-founder Manfredi Moretti and Soleille Gallery founder Gabriela Soleille.

International Design says the project is intended to create connections between collectible design, contemporary art, music and the communities surrounding them.

The collaboration with Soleille Gallery adds another layer to the exhibition, with several participating artists and designers presented through the gallery.

Cosmic Sound runs for ten days

Cosmic Sound opens at Nômade Temple Ibiza on September 30, 2026, and runs through October 10.

The exhibition is open to the public and visitors do not need to stay at the hotel to see the artworks. However, Nômade states that visitors should RSVP in advance.

Some individual activities within the wider programme may require separate reservations.

A new cultural programme for Ibiza

For International Design, Cosmic Sound marks the beginning of its international physical exhibition programme.

For Ibiza, the project adds another cultural event to the island's autumn calendar, bringing together collectible design, sound, contemporary art and live programming in a setting outside the traditional gallery environment.

Cosmic Sound will be at Nômade Temple Ibiza from September 30 to October 10, 2026.
