Sant Josep Local Police Adds Two New Officers to Its Command Structure

02 de October de 2026

The Sant Josep Local Police has strengthened its command structure with the appointment of two new officers.

Agents Grivé and Rodríguez formally took up their new positions on Friday, 2 October 2026, following a ceremony held at Sant Josep Town Hall.

With the appointments, the municipality now has nine officers within the Local Police establishment, adding further capacity for the organisation and coordination of police services.

New Responsibilities Within the Force

The two newly appointed officers will take on responsibilities linked to the planning and management of police shifts.

They will also be involved in determining areas of police interest, helping with the organisation and planning of services across the municipality.

Their new roles form part of the internal structure of the Local Police and involve additional responsibilities within the force.

Appointment Ceremony at Sant Josep Town Hall

The formal appointment took place at the Sant Josep Town Hall on Friday morning.

The ceremony was attended by Sant Josep Mayor and Councillor for Police Vicent Roig, together with the municipality's Local Police chief, José Antonio Granados.

Both officials accompanied the two officers as they formally assumed their new responsibilities within the police force.

Strengthening Organisation and Coordination

The municipality described the appointments as a reinforcement of the organisation and coordination of the Local Police.

The addition of two officers to the command structure provides additional personnel responsible for planning shifts and identifying areas of police interest.

The roles therefore focus not only on day-to-day policing but also on the planning and coordination required to organise the force's services.

A Growing Command Structure

The latest appointments follow previous changes to the Sant Josep Local Police command structure.

In August 2025, two other officers, Gabaldón and Ibáñez, took up their positions, with Ibáñez becoming the first woman to reach the rank of officer within the Sant Josep force. At that time, the municipality said the appointments brought the number of officers to six.

The appointments of Grivé and Rodríguez in October 2026 bring the current total to nine, according to the latest municipal reporting.

Supporting Police Planning in Sant Josep

The new positions are focused on strengthening the internal organisation of the Local Police, particularly through shift planning, service management and the identification of police priorities.

For a municipality covering a large area of Ibiza and including numerous residential, rural and coastal communities, effective organisation of police resources is an important part of local service management.

The two new officers will now take on their responsibilities as part of the Sant Josep Local Police command structure.
