Magiclown brought its 2026 edition to a close at the Auditori Caló de s’Oli on Sunday, September 27, with two final performances combining humour, classical music, circus and audience interaction.

The closing evening attracted families, young people and older spectators, bringing four days of free performing arts to an end in Sant Josep de sa Talaia.

Desconcierto mixes classical music with comedy

The first performance of the evening was Desconcierto, presented at 19:00 inside the Auditori Caló de s’Oli by Culturactiva Produccions.

Félix Rodríguez and Fran Rei combined live music, theatre and comedy in a show built around the conventions of the classical concert.

The performance approached classical music from a deliberately humorous perspective, using theatrical situations and interaction with the audience to present the music in a less formal setting.

Fran Rei explained after the performance that the intention was to entertain audiences while showing that classical or "cultured" music can also be approached as something fun.

The theatre was described as practically full, with an audience that actively participated during the performance.

Spectators of different generations

The closing night brought together different generations.

Among those attending was a grandmother who came with her grandson and highlighted the combination of educational content and humour, describing the show as something capable of entertaining both children and adults.

This family-oriented approach reflected the wider focus of Magiclown 2026, which presented its seven performances as free events for audiences of all ages.

Mute brings circus outdoors

The second and final performance moved outside to the amphitheatre at Caló de s’Oli at 20:00.

Mute, by the company Orain-Bi, combined circus and physical performance.

Rodrigo La Casa and Sara Álvarez made their Magiclown debut with the production, as well as their first appearance at a festival in the Balearic Islands.

The performers described the audience as highly engaged throughout the show.

Audience member joins the action

One of the evening's more unexpected moments came when spectator Marçal Alemany was brought onto the stage and took part in one of the numbers as a "horse".

Alemany, who regularly attends the festival, described the experience humorously afterwards and summed up the evening by calling it a gift.

The moment added another element of audience participation to a festival whose performances regularly break down the distance between performers and spectators.

Four days of performances across Sant Josep

The closing performances followed a four-day programme that began on Thursday, September 24.

The opening performance was Con mi magia y tu imaginación by Amélie at Can Jeroni.

On Friday, September 25, David Navares presented La magia de un trotamundos in the square in Sant Jordi.

Saturday brought two performances to the Auditori Caló de s’Oli, with Máximo Óptimo at 19:30 followed by Mago Edgar's Déjà Vu at 21:00.

The festival concluded on Sunday with Desconcierto and Mute.

Free performing arts for all ages

All seven performances in the 2026 programme were free.

The festival combined magic, clown, comedy, circus, music and theatre across three venues in the municipality, making the programme accessible to a broad audience without an entrance fee.

The concentration of the final weekend at Caló de s’Oli gave the festival a shared setting for its closing performances, with the indoor auditorium hosting the music and comedy-focused Desconcierto and the outdoor amphitheatre providing the setting for Mute.

Another edition comes to an end

With Sunday's two performances, Magiclown completed its 2026 programme after four days of activity in Sant Josep de sa Talaia.

The final evening reflected the variety of the festival itself, moving from classical music and theatrical comedy inside the auditorium to circus and physical performance outdoors.
