Ibiza is preparing for another major international luxury tourism event this week, as Journeys Ibiza Luxury Edition returns to the island from September 22 to 25.

The four-day event will bring together selected travel advisors, agencies and companies specialising in luxury tourism from North America and Europe, giving them an opportunity to discover Ibiza's hotels, experiences, gastronomy, culture, nature and personalised services.

The 2026 edition is being organised by Journeys Global in partnership with Ibiza Luxury Destination, the premium tourism product club of Fomento del Turismo de Ibiza, with support from the Consell d'Eivissa and Ibiza Travel.

Around 40 international professionals

Around 40 international luxury travel professionals are expected to take part in the programme.

The participants include travel advisors, agencies and other professionals who specialise in high-end tourism markets.

Journeys Global describes the event as an exclusive boutique gathering connecting luxury travel suppliers with selected buyers from North America and Europe through one-to-one meetings and destination experiences.

The format is designed to allow international buyers to experience Ibiza directly rather than simply receiving information about the destination remotely.

25 one-to-one meetings

Ibiza Luxury Destination will play a central role during the event.

The organisation plans to hold 25 individual meetings with luxury travel agencies and travel advisors, giving its member companies an opportunity to present their services directly to international professionals.

Across the wider programme, the organisation expects to connect with approximately 40 agencies and tourism professionals.

These meetings provide a business-to-business opportunity for Ibiza's luxury tourism companies to establish relationships with travel professionals who specialise in tailor-made holidays.

More than hotels and restaurants

The programme is designed to showcase a broader version of Ibiza's luxury tourism offer.

Alongside high-end hotels and restaurants, participants will be introduced to experiences connected with nature, culture, wellness, yachting and personalised travel.

This reflects the way Ibiza's premium tourism sector is increasingly presented internationally, with luxury positioned around experiences and services as well as accommodation.

A packed programme across Ibiza

The official Journeys programme begins with an arrival and welcome reception at Cala San Miguel Ibiza Resort.

On Wednesday, September 23, participants will take part in the official welcome and one-to-one meetings at Teatro Pereyra, followed by lunch and further meetings at Sa Peixeteria.

The programme then includes a tour of Ibiza Town and dinner at Ocean Drive Talamanca Hotel.

From meetings to destination experiences

The Thursday programme continues with further one-to-one meetings and a coffee break at Bless Ibiza.

Participants will then have lunch at The Beach by Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel before the event concludes with dinner at Destino Five Ibiza.

The schedule illustrates the Fam-Meet approach used by Journeys Global, combining business appointments with direct destination experiences.

A familiarisation trip after the event

The main event ends with participant departures on Friday, September 25.

However, selected international buyers have the possibility of remaining in Ibiza for a post-event familiarisation trip.

The 2026 event follows the first Journeys Ibiza Luxury Edition, which was held in October 2025.

The 2025 event included 40 international travel advisors from North America and Northern Europe and 36 exhibitors, including 17 Ibiza-based brands.

The return of the event in September 2026 therefore builds on an established business-to-business format rather than representing a completely new initiative.
