Mini Open Tennis Returns to Ibiza with 32 Teams, Björn Borg and a Weekend of Tennis, Music and Culture

03 de October de 2026

The Mini Open Tennis returns to Ibiza this October for its second edition on the island, bringing together professional tennis players, artists, DJs, brands, creatives and local businesses for two days combining sport, music and culture.

The main tournament will take place on Saturday, 10 October 2026 at Ibiza Club de Campo, where 32 teams will compete in a format designed to bring together people from very different worlds.

Created by Madrid-based multi-brand store Minishop, the Ibiza event forms part of the fifth edition of Mini Open Tennis overall.

A New Qualifying Day Comes to Ibiza

This year's Ibiza edition introduces the Mini Trials, giving new teams and communities the opportunity to earn their place in the main tournament.

On Friday, 9 October, 12 selected teams will compete at Ibiza Club de Campo for a single Wild Card. The winning team will then join the main tournament the following day.

The new format is open to teams representing clubs, businesses, brands, communities, creative projects and groups of friends. Teams consist of between three and four players, with one member acting as captain.

The organisers describe the concept as another way of bringing new communities into the Mini Open Tennis world, rather than relying exclusively on invited teams.

32 Teams Bring Sport and Culture Together

Saturday's main event will feature 32 teams from Ibiza and elsewhere, with a mix of professional tennis players, artists, entertainers, brands and local businesses.

Among the sporting names expected at the event are former professional tennis players Nicolás Almagro and Pablo Andújar, while former footballers Javier Saviola, Xabi Prieto and Yeste will also be involved.

Actor and presenter Arturo Valls is another of the personalities taking part.

The tournament will also have a strong connection to Ibiza's music scene. International DJs and producers Seth Troxler and DJ Tennis, the alias of Manfredi Romano, are participating as captains of their own team.

Björn Borg Brings Tennis History to Ibiza

One of the most prominent guests will be Swedish tennis legend Björn Borg.

Borg will attend the event to present and sign his autobiography, adding another cultural element to a weekend that is deliberately designed to extend beyond the tennis court.

The event will also see the launch of a new cap created in collaboration with the London-based IDEA bookshop.

Music from HOMIES and Ricardito

Music will run alongside the sporting programme, with Ibiza-based collective HOMIES contributing to the atmosphere and Cuban artist Ricardito also performing.

The organisers' concept is built around the idea of tennis as a meeting point for different communities, with sport, music, brands, media and contemporary culture sharing the same space.

After the main tournament, the celebrations will continue with an afterparty at Nocturna.

Free Access with Registration

The main Mini Open Tennis event is scheduled for Saturday, 10 October at Ibiza Club de Campo.

Access to the tournament is free, with advance registration required. A solidarity ticket option is also available, with donations supporting the David Booth Foundation.

The Mini Trials take place the previous day, Friday, 9 October, and offer a separate route into the main tournament through the Wild Card competition.

With its combination of competitive tennis, well-known sporting figures, international DJs, music, art and local Ibiza communities, the Mini Open Tennis is returning to the island with a format that puts the social and cultural side of the sport firmly alongside the competition.
