Guardia Civil Dismantles Alleged Drug-Selling Operation Targeting Tourists in Sant Antoni

August 29, 2026

The Guardia Civil has arrested three people in Sant Antoni de Portmany as part of an operation targeting two alleged drug-selling points aimed primarily at tourists.

The operation, named “Corsair Bal,” involved searches of two properties in Sant Antoni and resulted in the seizure of several types of drugs, along with nitrous oxide and products containing psychoactive substances.

Three People Arrested

The three detainees — two men and one woman, all British nationals — are suspected of drug-trafficking and belonging to a criminal group, according to the Guardia Civil.

Authorities carried out two searches at properties in Sant Antoni, which they say were being used as active points for supplying drugs, principally to tourists.

The suspects were subsequently brought before the competent judicial authority.

What Was Seized?

During the searches, officers reported finding:

  • 68 individual doses of Tusi
  • 16 bags of cocaine
  • 14 doses of ketamine
  • 8 bags of MDMA
  • More than 28 grams of ecstasy tablets
  • 98 bottles of nitrous oxide
  • 70 chocolate bars containing psychoactive substances
  • Equipment allegedly used to weigh, prepare and portion substances
  • €6,670 in cash
  • £2,050 in cash

The quantity and variety of substances led investigators to describe the locations as two active points of sale rather than isolated possession cases.

Part of Ibiza's Summer Drug Enforcement

The operation comes during an intensified summer enforcement period on the island.

Earlier this month, the Guardia Civil reported that 140 people had been arrested in Ibiza for alleged drug-trafficking and public-health offences since June 1, with operations focusing particularly on street-level drug sales.

The latest operation in Sant Antoni adds another case to those efforts, specifically targeting alleged sales to visitors in one of Ibiza's busiest tourist areas.

Sant Antoni and Summer Tourism

Sant Antoni is one of Ibiza's most visited destinations, known for its beaches, sunset spots, restaurants and nightlife.

The operation highlights the continued focus of law-enforcement agencies on preventing illegal drug sales in areas with high concentrations of visitors during the summer season.

The three people arrested are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty, and the investigation remains subject to the judicial process.
