Formentera hosts a morning dedicated to biodiversity on Saturday, September 26, with a community butterfly garden workshop at the Espai Cultural in Sant Ferran.

Running from 10:00 to 14:00, the family-friendly activity invites participants to help create a garden planted with native, nectar-rich flora designed to support butterflies, bees and other pollinators.

The workshop forms part of the Butterflies for Biodiversity initiative, which has planted nearly 2,000 aromatic herbs across Ibiza and Formentera since 2024.

Participants can take part in the planting while learning practical gardening ideas that can also be applied at home. The activity is designed to bring environmental conservation closer to the community through hands-on participation.
