The Posidonia Race returns to Cala d'Hort on Sunday, bringing two open-water swimming challenges to the waters around Es Vedrà and Es Vedranell.

Swimmers can choose between the 5K course from Cala d'Hort to Es Vedranell and back, or the longer 10K route that circles both Es Vedrà and Es Vedranell. Wetsuits are permitted, with minimum ages of 15 for the 5K and 17 for the 10K.

Race-day registration activities begin with bib collection and accreditation from 08:30, followed by the briefing at 09:30. Both races start at 10:00, with the awards ceremony scheduled for 14:00.

For those looking for something more adventurous, Coasteering Ibiza combines swimming, rock scrambling, sea caves and optional cliff jumps along the island's rugged coastline.

The guided experience requires no previous coasteering experience and includes safety equipment and a qualified guide. The organiser says participants should be confident swimmers, while all jumps are optional.

The October 4 session starts at 10:00 and lasts approximately two and a half hours. The main meeting point is Canal d'en Martí at Pou des Lleó in northeast Ibiza, although an alternative western meeting point near Cala Gracioneta may be used depending on the activity.
