Published on September 27, 2026 at 09:46 PM

Saturday, October 3 brings one of the liveliest non-clubbing event programmes of the early autumn, with live music, traditional culture, markets, food, family activities, art, sport and outdoor experiences taking place across Ibiza and Formentera.

Sonorama Ribera Goes to Ibiza reaches its main festival day in Cala de Bou, La Verbenita takes over Vara de Rey with live music and a Spanish tortilla competition, and Tanit Beach brings Oktoberfest to Playa d'en Bossa.

In the north of Ibiza, Sant Miquel hosts the third Festival Balansat Balla, celebrating traditional island music and dance, while families can enjoy activities including a children's ceramics workshop and a special swimming-pool morning.

Across the water, Formentera hosts its annual triathlon, local markets, exhibitions, the SON Estrella Galicia Posidonia festival and an evening of live jazz.

Here is your guide to what is happening in Ibiza and Formentera on Saturday, October 3, 2026.

Sonorama Ribera Goes to Ibiza

One of the biggest cultural events of the weekend is Sonorama Ribera Goes to Ibiza.

Saturday is the main festival day, with the programme moving to Venice Bay in Cala de Bou.

The festival brings live Spanish music to Ibiza alongside food and other activities, following Friday's opening programme at the Auditori Caló de s'Oli.

The Saturday programme features a selection of Spanish artists and bands, with the festival continuing throughout the day and into the evening.

For visitors looking for a live-music festival atmosphere away from Ibiza's traditional club scene, this is one of the weekend's major events.

La Verbenita Takes Over Vara de Rey

Ibiza Town becomes the setting for La Verbenita on October 3.

The open-air celebration begins at 12:00 at Vara de Rey and continues through the afternoon and evening.

One of the central activities is the Spanish tortilla competition, organised by the Ajuntament d'Eivissa with local Ibiza red potatoes supplied to participating teams.

Teams of four can compete, while live music, vermouth, food and a traditional verbena atmosphere continue around the event.

The wider celebration runs until midnight and is free to attend.

Oktoberfest by the Sea at Tanit Beach

Tanit Beach Ibiza brings an Ibiza version of Oktoberfest to Playa d'en Bossa from 13:00 to 20:00.

The event combines German food, beer, Schlager music, DJs and afternoon entertainment.

Visitors are encouraged to embrace the theme with Lederhosen and Dirndl, with a prize for the best Oktoberfest outfit.

Entry is free, although advance table or bed reservations are recommended.

Traditional Ibiza Culture at Balansat Balla

Sant Miquel hosts the third edition of Festival Balansat Balla on Saturday evening.

The programme begins at 18:30 with a cercavila procession through the village before reaching the main square.

The festival officially begins at 19:00 and brings together traditional dancers, musicians and singers from Ibiza, Formentera and beyond.

The programme includes the Colla Balansat, the Colla de Formentera, Stella Roselló, Aires des Pla, Maria Mateu Ramon, Joan Costa, Bastoners de Sant Cugat and several other performers.

Admission is free.

It is one of the best opportunities on this date to see traditional ball pagès and experience Ibiza's living cultural heritage in a local village setting.

A Family Morning in Sant Miquel

The wider Sant Miquel festivities continue on October 3 with an open morning at the municipal swimming pool.

From 09:30, families can enjoy water inflatables and activities at the pool.

The activity is part of the village's wider patron-saint celebrations, with all the Sant Miquel events designed to be enjoyed by families and friends.

Children's Ceramics Workshop at Sa Caleta

Families have another cultural activity in the morning at the Centre d'Interpretació Sa Caleta.

A free children's ceramics workshop takes place from 11:00 to 13:00 and is aimed at children aged six and above.

Participants can work with clay and create pieces inspired by Ibiza's cultural and historical heritage.

Places are limited and require advance registration.

Saturday Markets Around Ibiza

Saturday is one of the best days for exploring Ibiza's markets.

The Sant Jordi flea market begins from 08:00 and continues into the afternoon, with second-hand goods, antiques, books, records, furniture, accessories and crafts.

The Forada Market runs from 10:00 and focuses on local products, food, crafts and small-scale producers.

San José's ecological food and craft market also opens from 10:00.

In San Carlos, Las Dalias Hippy Market continues its Saturday programme from 10:00, offering fashion, jewellery, crafts, art, food and other independent products.

Start Saturday with Yoga and Wellness

Hostal La Torre has yoga by the sea from 09:00, and Casa Munich offers yoga and Pilates from 09:30.

The Unexpected Ibiza Hotel also hosts its After Workout Club from 09:00.

These provide easy ways to start the weekend before heading to a market, cultural event or beach.

Horse as Muse in the Ibiza Countryside

Horse as Muse continues its autumn creative programme in the San Rafael area.

The experience combines artistic activity, nature and time around horses and starts from 09:30.

It offers a quieter alternative for visitors wanting to spend part of Saturday exploring Ibiza's rural landscape.

Explore BiBo Park

BiBo Park in San Rafael opens from 10:00.

The botanical and biotechnology park combines nature, sustainability and environmental education and provides a relaxed daytime experience for visitors interested in the natural side of Ibiza.

Acrobosc Adventure Park

The approximately 40-minute tour explores the historic cave and its natural formations, with light, sound and water effects included along the route.

It is an easy experience to combine with exploring the northern coastline.

Explore Ibiza by Boat

Saturday offers several ways to discover the coastline from the water.

A Formentera cruise departs from Figueretas in the morning, while the Beach Hop cruise from San Antonio visits Cala Bassa and Cala Conta.

A Capitan Nemo boat trip heads towards Es Vedrà from the afternoon.

For visitors interested in a full day on the water, several Formentera boat excursions are also available from Ibiza.

Visitors can choose from options including OKU Ibiza, Riomar, Casa Munich, Mongibello, Paradiso Art Hotel, Los Felices and 7Pines Resort.

Nikki Beach hosts its Saturday Nu Disco Paradise from 12:00, combining food, music and the beachside setting of Santa Eulalia.

These recurring experiences are useful additions for visitors who want a relaxed Saturday built around the pool or beach rather than a fixed event programme.

Live Music at Can Jordi

Can Jordi Blues Station in Sant Josep hosts live music from 13:00.

The venue is one of Ibiza's established local live-music spots and is a good choice for a relaxed Saturday afternoon.

Kids Corner at El Náutico

El Náutico Ibiza in Ibiza Town offers its Kids Corner from 13:00 to 18:00.

The children's space provides games and supervised activities while parents enjoy lunch at the venue.

Advance reservation is required.

WHO at Teatro Pereyra

Teatro Pereyra presents WHO from 20:30.

The experience combines live performance and gastronomy in one of Ibiza Town's historic venues.

For visitors looking for theatre and dinner rather than a conventional nightlife event, it provides a different option for Saturday evening.

Formentera Triathlon

One of the biggest sporting events of the weekend takes place in Es Pujols.

The XII Triatló Illa de Formentera includes Sprint, Olympic and Sprint Team Relay categories.

Bib collection takes place during the morning in Plaza de Europa, with the Sprint and relay events starting at 14:15 and the Olympic event beginning at 16:00.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for around 19:30.

Even for spectators, the triathlon is worth knowing about because parts of Es Pujols and the surrounding route will be busy during the afternoon.

SON Estrella Galicia Posidonia in Formentera

SON Estrella Galicia Posidonia continues on October 3 as part of its October 2–4 programme.

The festival combines music, gastronomy and an environmental focus and is one of Formentera's major autumn events.
