Sant Antoni de Portmany is preparing for the return of its Fira Marinera, with four days of markets, music, performances and family activities planned from Thursday, September 24 to Sunday, September 27.

The 15th edition will transform the Passeig de la Mar and Passeig de ses Fonts into a maritime-themed setting, with artisan stalls, gastronomy, live entertainment, street performances and activities for visitors of all ages.

Four Days in Sant Antoni

The fair will begin on Thursday, September 24 and continue throughout the weekend.

The market opens at 11:00 on Thursday, with the day's entertainment beginning in the afternoon. A musical street parade is scheduled for 17:30, followed by the official opening ceremony at 19:00 with the participating performance companies.

On Friday, activities again begin at 11:00. On Saturday and Sunday, the programme starts at 10:45 and continues throughout the day.

A Maritime World in the Centre of Sant Antoni

During the four-day event, the Passeig de la Mar and Passeig de ses Fonts will be transformed with themed decoration and a continuous programme of entertainment.

Visitors can browse stalls dedicated to crafts and gastronomy while performers, musicians and costumed characters move through the market.

The programme has been designed with families in mind, with activities taking place throughout the day rather than being concentrated around a single evening event.

Music, Street Parades and Acrobatics

Music is a major part of the programme, with live performances and musicians moving through the market at different times.

The schedule also includes street parades featuring pirates and corsairs, acrobatic performances, aerial shows and other themed performances.

Several of the shows are designed to take place directly among visitors, giving the fair a moving, open-air format across the central areas of Sant Antoni.

The Return of the Dragon

One of the recurring attractions of the Fira Marinera is also returning for 2026.

The red dragon will feature in the programme, with La Captura del Dragón scheduled for Saturday evening.

On Sunday, visitors will see the Despedida del Dragón as part of the closing-day entertainment.

These performances form part of the event's wider programme of themed characters and theatrical street shows.

Family Activities

The fair will include a dedicated children's area with attractions, traditional games, workshops and storytelling sessions.

Cuentacuentos activities are scheduled throughout the four days, alongside manual attractions and other activities aimed at younger visitors.

The organisers have placed particular emphasis on daytime programming this year, allowing families to take part across the full length of the fair.

Thursday, September 24

The opening day begins with the market opening at 11:00.

The afternoon programme starts with the market coming to life at 17:30, followed by Raebellion Folk at 18:00 and the official inauguration at 19:00.

Evening entertainment includes storytelling in the children's area, a fauna-themed parade, musicians moving through the market and a marine-creature parade.

Friday, September 25

Friday's programme begins at 11:00 and features Raebellion Folk, musical parades, the acrobatic Pirates and Corsairs show, aerial performances and activities in the children's area.

Later in the day, visitors can see further acrobatic and musical parades, the dragon capture performance at 20:30 and additional evening entertainment.

The day's programme continues into the evening with a fantasy parade and the Terra de Fires performance at Passeig de ses Fonts.

Saturday, September 26

Saturday begins at 10:45 with the market coming to life.

The programme includes musicians, Pirates and Corsairs, Raebellion Folk, storytelling and an aerial performance in the children's area.

The evening brings another series of parades and performances, followed by La Captura del Dragón at 20:30.

Further entertainment continues later into the evening, including a fantasy parade, street concert and a fire performance scheduled for 23:30.

Sunday, September 27

The final day also starts at 10:45.

Sunday's programme includes Raebellion Folk, musical parades, the acrobatic Pirates and Corsairs performance, storytelling and an aerial show.

The Despedida del Dragón is scheduled for 19:30, followed later by the Posidóneos acrobatic fantasy parade and a final parade featuring all the participating companies.

A Mix of Crafts and Gastronomy

Alongside the entertainment, the fair will feature market stalls offering artisan products and food and drink.

The combination of shopping, gastronomy and live entertainment is central to the Fira Marinera format, allowing visitors to move between the market and the various scheduled performances.
