October 4, 2026 Ibiza & Formentera Sunday Events: Traditional Culture, Sant Miquel, Sports, Markets, Music, Sunset Sessions & More
04 de October de 2026
Sunday, October 4 brings a packed programme of events across Ibiza and Formentera, with everything from traditional island celebrations and local markets to outdoor adventures, sporting events, art, family activities, food, live music and some of the season’s biggest closing parties.
In Ibiza, the day combines authentic local traditions with coastal experiences and a busy evening programme. Font de Cas Ramons near Santa Gertrudis hosts a traditional countryside gathering, while the Sant Miquel celebrations continue with a programme dedicated to older residents. Cala de Bou also begins its Sunday festivities with sport, a community solidarity lunch and a bingo fundraiser.
Formentera has its own full agenda, with the final day of the SON Estrella Galicia Posidonia Festival, World Bird Day activities, the Pilar de la Mola celebrations, markets, an under-13 bouldering competition and the La Mola artisan market.
As the afternoon arrives, Ibiza moves into sunset sessions, live music and cultural performances before a major night of closing parties takes over the island.
A Traditional Day at Font de Cas Ramons
One of the most distinctive events of the day takes place in the countryside around Santa Gertrudis.
From 11:00, Font de Cas Ramons hosts a traditional rural celebration organised by the Grup de Ball Tradicional de Santa Gertrudis, with the collaboration of Santa Eulària des Riu Town Hall and the Consell d'Eivissa.
The programme includes cantada pagesa, traditional music, tir amb bassetja, a game of bitlles, an artisan exhibition, horse-and-cart rides and activities connected with traditional rural life.
There is also a communal frita de porc, making this a particularly strong choice for visitors wanting to experience Ibiza’s countryside traditions away from the main tourist centres.
Sant Miquel Continues Its Festivities
The Sant Miquel celebrations continue on October 4 with a full day dedicated to older residents.
The programme begins at 10:30 with a solemn mass, followed at 13:00 by a traditional ball pagès performance from the Colla de Balansat.
A community meal takes place at 14:00 at Restaurante Sol i Camp, followed by children’s activities and music in the village square from 16:00.
At 19:30, the Grup de Teatre es Cubells presents Un viatge regalat in the square, with the day ending with Electro Bingo at 20:45.
The Sant Miquel festivities continue beyond October 4, with further events scheduled through October 18.
Cala de Bou Combines Sport and Solidarity
The Cala de Bou and es Port des Torrent festivities continue on Sunday with a community-focused programme.
From 09:00, the Club de Petanca Cala de Bou hosts an open petanque tournament, with participation available to the public.
At 14:00, the Gran Jornada Solidaria takes place under the event tent at the children’s park on Calle des Caló. The fundraiser includes arroz de matanzas and supports Ibiza IN.
The programme continues at 16:00 with a solidarity bingo.
The wider Cala de Bou festivities run until October 20 and include music, family activities, culture, sport and community events.
Posidonia Swimming Race
The Posidonia Swimming Race returns on Sunday from 10:00, bringing an open-water sporting challenge to the waters around Es Vedrà.
The event features 5 km and 10 km routes, with the longer course taking swimmers around Es Vedrà and Es Vedranell.
Current event descriptions place the race in the Cala d'Hort and Es Vedrà area, although some event listings currently categorise the location under Cala Vadella. Participants should check the organiser's latest race information before travelling.
