A new monthly Drum & Bass residency is landing in Ibiza for summer 2026, as Makino launches a dedicated series at Sigma Ibiza, giving UK-rooted bass music a rare and consistent home on the island’s club calendar. The residency begins Friday 17 April and is set to run one Friday a month from April through September.

While Ibiza has long been dominated by house and techno, Makino’s new residency points to a shift in the island’s musical landscape. The concept is built around creating space for Drum & Bass in a market where the genre has historically had only limited representation, despite its continued international growth.

The series will take place inside Sigma Ibiza, an intimate 110-capacity venue in Ibiza Town that offers a much closer, more stripped-back dancefloor experience than the island’s larger clubs. That smaller format feels especially suited to Drum & Bass, where energy, proximity and direct crowd connection are part of the culture.

The opening party on Friday 17 April features Mark System, Zar and Luna, running from midnight until 6am. Ticketing and event listings describe the launch as the first chapter of a broader summer residency, with Makino framing the project around artists they represent, connect with and admire.

According to launch coverage, the monthly concept is expected to blend established names and emerging talent across the bass spectrum, reinforcing Makino’s wider push into events after recent activity in the UK and an international debut at Miami Music Week.

In an island nightlife landscape still largely shaped by four-on-the-floor sounds, the arrival of a recurring Drum & Bass residency stands out. For Sigma, it adds another underground layer to Ibiza Town’s smaller-room circuit. For Makino, it is a clear statement of intent.
