The Medieval Mariners’ Market returns to the centre of Sant Antoni de Portmany this Friday, September 25, transforming the town’s waterfront and main promenade into a four-day celebration of maritime traditions, crafts, food and live entertainment.

The XV Feria Marinera Medieval runs from September 24 to 27, with Friday’s programme scheduled from 11:00 to 22:30 across Passeig de la Mar and Passeig de ses Fonts.

Pirates, Performances and Live Entertainment

Friday’s programme combines market stalls with a full schedule of entertainment throughout the day.

Visitors can expect musical parades, pirate and corsair performances, acrobatic shows, storytelling and appearances by fantastical sea creatures. Raebellion Folk will also perform during several points of the day.

The children’s area will offer storytelling, games and activities, while the wider market will feature entertainment for visitors of all ages.

Crafts, Food and a Maritime Atmosphere

The market brings together artisan stalls, food stands and local and traditional products, with the streets of central Sant Antoni transformed with a maritime and medieval theme.

The event is designed as a family-friendly experience, with attractions, workshops and activities continuing throughout the market’s opening hours.

Friday Evening Programme

The atmosphere builds again from 17:30, when the market comes back to life for the evening programme.

Highlights include further pirate and corsair performances, live folk music, acrobatic shows and the spectacular “La Captura del Dragón” at 20:30.

The evening continues with a musical procession at 21:00, an aerial show at 21:30 and a fantasy parade at 22:00, before the Friday programme concludes at 22:30.
