David Guetta Makes History in Ibiza With Sixth DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Victory

07 de October de 2026

Ibiza provided the stage for a historic moment in electronic music on Tuesday, October 6, as David Guetta was crowned the world's No. 1 DJ for a record sixth time at the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs LIVE ceremony at [UNVRS].

The French DJ and producer reclaimed the top position in DJ Mag's 2026 public vote, becoming the first artist in the history of the poll to win the title six times.

The result was revealed live at [UNVRS] Ibiza, where the world's leading publicly voted DJ poll returned for a second consecutive year.

A Record Sixth Victory

Guetta first won the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs title in 2011.

He subsequently topped the poll in 2020, 2021, 2023 and 2025 before adding a sixth victory in 2026. The latest result puts him ahead of Martin Garrix and Armin van Buuren, who have each won the poll five times.

Speaking to DJ Mag after learning the result, Guetta described the achievement as a significant moment, particularly given that it was his sixth time reaching the top of the ranking.

The Results Were Revealed at [UNVRS] Ibiza

The 2026 results were announced during DJ Mag Top 100 DJs LIVE at [UNVRS] on October 6.

The ceremony brought together major names from across electronic music, with performances from Lost Frequencies, Charlotte de Witte, GORDO, Vintage Culture, ANASTAZJA and Korolova. Guetta then took to the decks after being revealed as the winner.

[UNVRS] confirmed that the event marked the second consecutive year the awards ceremony has been hosted at the Ibiza venue.

A Record Global Vote

The 2026 edition also set a new participation record for the poll.

DJ Mag reported that verified votes came from 234 territories worldwide, underlining the international reach of the annual ranking.

The Top 100 DJs is based on a public vote, making the result a reflection of global audience participation rather than a traditional critics' or industry jury award.

Other Major Winners

Guetta was not the only artist recognised during the Ibiza ceremony.

Charlotte de Witte retained the title of World's No. 1 Techno DJ for the seventh consecutive year.

FISHER was named World's No. 1 House DJ, while Armin van Buuren won World's No. 1 Trance DJ for the second consecutive year. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike retained the World's No. 1 DJ Group title and ranked fifth overall.

Indira Paganotto was named World's No. 1 Psy DJ, while Sara Landry took the World's No. 1 Hard DJ title.

Another notable result saw Anyma climb seven places to reach No. 3 overall, while Josh Baker was recognised as the poll's highest new entry at No. 40.

Another Historic Night for Ibiza

For Ibiza, the ceremony added another major international music event to the island's 2026 calendar.

The world's No. 1 DJ was crowned at [UNVRS], with the result announced in front of a live audience before Guetta celebrated the record-breaking victory with a special performance.

Guetta will return to [UNVRS] on Friday, October 9, for his Closing Weekend event, alongside MEDUZA, Kevin de Vries, Korolova and other artists.

The 2026 DJ Mag result therefore gives Ibiza another significant place in the history of the global electronic music scene, with the island once again serving as the setting for one of dance music's biggest annual moments.
