Wednesday, October 7, 2026: The Best Things to Do in Ibiza & Formentera

07 de October de 2026

October in Ibiza is a different kind of beautiful. The pace is slower, the summer crowds have eased and the island's calendar shifts towards a mix of local culture, outdoor experiences, art, gastronomy, markets and some of the final major parties of the season.

On Wednesday, October 7, Ibiza and Formentera offer plenty to discover from early morning through to late at night. You can begin the day exploring the countryside or heading out onto the water, spend the afternoon browsing artisan markets or visiting exhibitions, and finish with live music, sunset experiences, dinner or one of Ibiza's many closing parties.

Here are some of the best things happening across Ibiza and Formentera on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.

Start the Day Exploring Ibiza

Early risers have plenty of options on Wednesday.

The OKU Ibiza Day Experience begins in San Antonio at 08:00, while the Around the Island Adventure offers an early start for visitors who want to see more of Ibiza in a single day. There is also a Poolside Experience at Ryans Lola's in San Antonio Bay from 08:30.

For a more active start, the social trail run and the regular Wednesdays are PURE! walking experience provide opportunities to discover Ibiza's countryside and natural surroundings.

Another option is an Ibiza Island Tour combined with a visit to a hippy market, giving visitors a chance to see several different sides of the island in one excursion.

Families can also head to BIBO Park in San Rafael, which opens from 10:00.

Wednesday Market Day

Markets remain one of the easiest ways to experience Ibiza and Formentera beyond the beaches.

In Es Caná, the famous Punta Arabí Hippy Market opens from 10:00, with stalls offering everything from handmade products and jewellery to fashion and artwork.

Across the water, the Sant Francesc Market in Formentera runs from 10:00 to 14:00.

For those staying on Formentera into the afternoon, the La Mola Artisan Market begins at 16:00 and continues until 22:00. The market is one of the island's best-known places to discover local creativity and craftsmanship.

Discover Ibiza by Boat, Train or Vineyard

Wednesday also offers a wide choice of sightseeing experiences.

Can Rich in San Antonio hosts a guided tour and wine tasting from 10:00, providing an introduction to Ibiza's agricultural traditions and local wine.

Boat excursions include the Captain Nemo trip to Es Vedrà, Beach Hop cruises to Cala Bassa and Cala Conta, and excursions towards Formentera.

For a relaxed way to explore the coast, the Cala Llonga Mini Train and Es Figueral Mini Train provide easy sightseeing options, while visitors looking for something more adventurous can head to Portinatx for a sunset kayak.

The Santa Eulalia tourist train also runs on Wednesday from 10:30, offering a different way to discover the town and surrounding coastline and countryside.

Day Passes and Relaxation

For those who would rather slow the pace down, several hotels and resorts are offering day experiences.

Options include Casa Munich in Sant Jordi, Riomar and Mongibello in Santa Eulalia, the Spa & Pool Day Pass at 7Pines Resort, and adult-only day experiences at Los Felices and Paradiso Art Hotel.

There is also the Formentera With Benefits experience, running from 10:30 to 19:30 between Playa d'en Bossa and Formentera.

Art and Culture Across the Island

October is a particularly interesting month for art lovers in Ibiza.

At La Nave Salinas, Inner Nature begins from 12:00, while the Paradiso Art Hotel continues its 24H Arty People programme.

ADDA Gallery in Ibiza Town hosts Instants from 17:00 to 22:00.

One of the newest cultural additions is Mirades Perdudes by photographer Joan Costa. The exhibition opened on October 6 and continues at Es Polvorí and the Refectorio in Dalt Vila, making it a particularly timely exhibition to visit this Wednesday.

Sa Nostra Sala is also hosting the artistic dialogue between Carles Fabregat and Josep Vallribera, while Sant Antoni continues its contemporary programme with Pulsión creadora y, algoritmo intuitivo? at Sa Punta des Molí.

Other museums and galleries across Ibiza are also continuing their autumn exhibitions.

Formentera's Autumn of Art

Formentera has a strong cultural focus this week thanks to Tardor d'Art, its Autumn of Art programme.

Wednesday includes the Tardor d'Art second-hand market from 11:00 to 14:00, as well as other exhibitions and activities across the island.

The Cati Verdera exhibition at the Far de la Mola is open during the day and again in the evening, while the La Mola Artisan Market takes over later in the afternoon.

A collage workshop is also listed from 11:00 to 13:00, although this particular activity is aimed at local schoolchildren.

For visitors wanting to experience a quieter and more artistic side of Formentera, this is a particularly good day to explore.

Sunset in Ibiza

As afternoon turns into evening, the focus naturally shifts towards the coast.

Musical Sunsets at Hostal La Torre begins from 17:00, while Solar Sessions at The Standard Ibiza starts at 18:00.

Portinatx offers a sunset kayaking experience from 18:30, while Between Two Vines at Ibizkus Winery takes place one hour before sunset.

Food lovers can join an Ibiza Food Tour from 18:00, followed by evening options including Miso Hungry at Bambuddha in Santa Eulalia and Musical Evenings at Sa Caleta Restaurant from 20:30.

Local Culture and Evening Entertainment

The evening is not all about nightlife.

At Teatro Pereyra in Ibiza Town, Hablar Salva Vidas begins from 18:00, while Teatro España in Santa Eulalia hosts Donde brotamos and a discussion from 19:00.

Literature also features prominently, with Lletres Compartides with Carles M. Sanuy at Can Ventosa from 20:00 and the Club de Lectura Verde at Cas Serres at the same time.

Meanwhile, Es Caná has its Wednesday Live Music Sessions from 17:00 and The Moon Night at ME Ibiza begins at 19:00.

The Final Weeks of Ibiza's Party Season

At Las Dalias, Namaste returns from 19:00 before continuing into Akasha.

Pacha Hotel Ibiza hosts the Double Cherry Closing from 20:00 to 01:00.

At [UNVRS], Jamie Jones presents the Paradise Closing Party from 22:00. This marks the end of the Paradise residency, rather than the closing of [UNVRS], which has its own closing party on October 10.

A Different Kind of Ibiza Day

Wednesday, October 7 demonstrates just how broad Ibiza's autumn calendar has become.

There are still huge parties and closing celebrations for those chasing the island's legendary nightlife, but there is just as much happening away from the clubs. Markets, vineyards, museums, galleries, local theatre, countryside walks, boat trips, beaches, wellness experiences and Formentera's artistic programme all offer another way to enjoy the islands.

For visitors looking beyond the traditional summer party experience, October can be one of the most rewarding times to be here.

And on this particular Wednesday, there is no shortage of ways to discover it.
