05 de October de 2026

Three people have been investigated by the Policía Local de Sant Joan de Labritja in separate incidents involving suspected document falsification and an alleged road-safety offence.

The cases occurred during several recent police interventions in the municipality. According to information released by the local police, the investigations involved people of Spanish, Belgian and Polish nationality.

Suspected False Driving Licence

In the first case, officers detected a driving licence that showed indications of being false.

Following the corresponding checks, a Spanish national was investigated for a suspected offence of document falsification.

The police subsequently prepared the relevant proceedings for referral to the competent judicial authority.

Driving Without Ever Obtaining a Licence

A second intervention involved a Belgian national who was detected driving a vehicle despite never having obtained the corresponding driving licence.

Police officers initiated proceedings for a suspected offence against road safety.

The case was also referred to the judicial authorities for the continuation of the proceedings.

Another Suspected Case of Document Falsification

The third investigation involved a Polish national.

Officers detected indications that documentation presented by the person may have been falsified. The individual was subsequently investigated for a suspected offence of document falsification.

As with the other two cases, the police prepared the corresponding proceedings and sent them to the competent judicial authority.

Increased Police Presence in Sant Joan

The three interventions come as the Policía Local de Sant Joan de Labritja continues to expand and reorganise its service shifts.

According to the municipality, the changes are allowing the force to increase police presence and extend coverage across different hours of the day.

The aim is to strengthen the body's ability to prevent and respond to incidents while improving surveillance and public safety throughout the municipality.

Investigations Remain Subject to Judicial Proceedings

The three cases have been passed to the competent judicial authority, where the relevant proceedings will continue.

At this stage, the individuals are being investigated for suspected offences. No conviction has been established in the information currently available, so the allegations should not be presented as proven offences.

The cases highlight the role of Sant Joan's local police in detecting irregular driving documentation and road-safety issues as the municipality increases its policing coverage.
