Los Angeles producer Introspekt and rapper Vanessa Tha Finessa have joined forces on “On Go”, a new single released through the influential UK label Tempa.

Released on September 18, the track combines elements of 2-step, electro and R&B, creating a dark and hypnotic electronic production around Vanessa Tha Finessa's vocals.

A Los Angeles Collaboration

Both artists are based in Los Angeles, bringing different sides of the city's underground music community together for the release.

Introspekt's production draws on the rhythmic movement associated with 2-step while incorporating the harder, more mechanical textures of electro.

Vanessa Tha Finessa provides the vocal element, giving the track its R&B and rap character.

The result is a hybrid sound that connects UK club influences with the artists' Los Angeles backgrounds.

Released Through Tempa

“On Go” arrives through Tempa, the UK label closely associated with the development of dubstep and UK bass music.

The release follows Introspekt's debut album, “Moving The Center”, which was released through Tempa in 2025. The new single is also the first in a series of Introspekt releases scheduled to arrive through the label over the coming months.

Introspekt said she had been playing the track as a dub during the summer before officially releasing it.

She also described working with Vanessa Tha Finessa as a pleasure in a post announcing the release.

Official Video

“On Go” arrives with an accompanying music video directed by Edwin Arzu, a Los Angeles-based creative director and musician.

The visual adds another layer to the collaboration between the two artists while keeping the focus on the track's darker electronic character.

Introspekt's Next Chapter

The single marks Introspekt's return to Tempa following “Moving The Center”.

The producer has previously explored garage, bass and electronic music through a style that draws on UK club sounds while developing her own approach from Los Angeles.

“On Go” continues that connection with UK electronic music while introducing Vanessa Tha Finessa into the project.

Tempa has continued making its catalogue accessible to new audiences, with its back catalogue made available through Bandcamp in 2024.

Listen to “On Go”

“On Go” is now available through Tempa on digital music platforms, with the single also listed as a 140 BPM release.

The collaboration gives Introspekt and Vanessa Tha Finessa a meeting point between Los Angeles rap and R&B influences and the UK-rooted sounds of 2-step, electro and bass music.
