The Vuelta a Ibiza MTB SIROKO by Shimano has confirmed when cyclists can register for its 2027 edition, with entries opening on Tuesday, 27 October 2026, at 12:00 noon. The mountain-bike event will return to Ibiza from 25 to 28 March, bringing riders together for three competitive stages across the island.

The 2027 edition will continue the event’s established format, combining challenging off-road cycling with the opportunity to explore Ibiza’s countryside, woodland trails and coastal landscapes. Participation is limited to 1,000 riders, making the registration opening an important date for those planning to take part.

When do registrations open?

Online registration is scheduled to open at midday on 27 October through the event’s official website.

The organisers have set a limit of 1,000 participants. Riders interested in joining the event should check the official registration platform for the applicable entry conditions, availability and payment requirements.

The race is designed primarily around pairs, although individual participation is also permitted under the event regulations. Its format combines competition with teamwork, as paired riders must tackle the stages together.

Four days in Ibiza, with three stages of racing

The 2027 Vuelta a Ibiza MTB will take place from Thursday, 25 March, to Sunday, 28 March.

The opening day is scheduled for the presentation and collection of race numbers, followed by three stages on 26, 27 and 28 March. The event’s official website advertises a total distance of 229 kilometres across the competitive stages.

Riders will face a mixture of climbs, descents, technical trails and faster sections. The route is designed to showcase a different side of Ibiza, taking participants through rural landscapes, pine forests and areas close to the Mediterranean coast.

The physical and technical demands make the event particularly suited to cyclists with mountain-bike experience.

A race built around teamwork and competition

The pairs format is one of the defining features of the Vuelta a Ibiza MTB. Participants must support one another throughout the race, balancing their own pace and performance with the needs of their teammate.

The event also allows riders to compete individually, subject to the published regulations and categories.

Over the years, the race has attracted both amateur cyclists and recognised names from the sport. Sharing the trails with experienced competitors and established cycling figures is part of the event’s appeal, alongside the challenge of completing the stages.

The organisers also provide race support, including timing points, food and drink stations, and medical and mechanical assistance, according to the official event information.

Exploring Ibiza beyond its beaches

The Vuelta a Ibiza MTB offers participants a way to experience the island away from its best-known resort areas. Its routes combine inland tracks, wooded hills and coastal sections, highlighting the varied terrain that makes Ibiza a destination for outdoor sports as well as tourism.

The event takes place in early spring, when the island’s countryside provides a different setting from the busy summer season. For visiting riders, it can also offer an opportunity to spend several days exploring Ibiza beyond its beaches and nightlife.
